Gov. Scott Walker is meeting with Las Vegas casino magnate Sheldon Adelson Tuesday as he pursues a potential presidential run.
Adelson has been a key financial backer for Walker in his last two runs for governor and, if persuaded, could be a source of even greater funds for a White House bid.
In the last presidential contest, Adelson, the president of the Las Vegas Sands Corp., and his wife put $30 million into groups backing failed GOP candidate Mitt Romney in the general election and, before that, $20 million into a super PAC that propped up Newt Gingrich's unsuccessful Republican primary run for president in 2012.

And WHAT, pray tell, does Adel son get in return??????
There are several issues I disagree with Adelson about.
BUT anyone he backs will be 1000000 percent better than O, Hillary, or the fake Indian
Taint
More Mexicans
Sorry, brain fart.
Walker gets tainted by Adelson.
Adelson is pro open borders, pro abortion, pro gay marriage....
He has my vote. I’ll even volunteer for him.
Any links to J-S articles on Obama and his many ‘bundlers?’
If you read the article Cruz met with Adelson too.
“The Washington Post reported that Adelson has also had private conversations in recent weeks with Christie, Huckabee, Cruz and Jindal. “
Adelson contributes to many on the right. It is the purest speculation that any of them did anything more than shook his hand over lunch.
They both need to avoid that scumbag.
I would like to see a Republican leader with some stones and I think he might fit the bill
He met with Perry too. They all go kiss his ring.
Adelson could just give money to Obama & Warren if he wanted those things badly enough. I have some faith that neither Cruz nor Jindal nor Huckabee nor Walker (not even Christie) would become so beholden to any mega donor to the degree they would violate their commitments to all other donors and supporters for them. I’m kinda down on politicians and their Oval Office runs though and seriously hoping in my own way my governor sticks it out here in the State. I see that only by having tough as nails governors acting as blocks the whole thing goes to the dogs.
If Cruz was a Governor he would win overwhelmingly, but he is a Senator and I doubt the country once another Senator after what we just saw with Obama. Senators do not have executive experience which this country desperately needs. Walker is our hope for 2016. Now if you want a Walker/Cruz, that would be great to get Cruz up to speed on how to govern that would work extremely well. Cruz would be ready to be President by 2022 and still be young.
maybe Walker’s been a Chamber of Commerce kind of guy all along. His big issue was busting untions, so he was embraced before taking a stand on the crucial issues.
Adelson is pro open borders, pro abortion, pro gay marriage....
We are winning one of those 3. The abortion fight we are winning and making great progress. The gay marriage we are losing big time where 30 states now have gay marriage.......I still can’t believe Americans are going in the streets with pitch forks over that one. And immigration will be concluded by 2016.
I’ll never understand what causes one republican to become the next superstar over another. Unfortunately I’ve come to the conclusion that conservatives are just as susceptible to herding as liberals.
Compare Scott Walker to Rick Snyder in Michigan and it would be hard to argue against the fact that Snyder has done far more to bring down the liberal state but Snyder remains largely unknown outside of Michigan. We actually went much further with RTW in Michigan but we did it quickly as opposed to Wisconsin where the fight went on for weeks. This isn’t a condemnation or endorsement of either Walker or Snyder, just an example.
Looking back at my decade as a FReepers I’ve seen a lot of “heroes” come and go. Colin Powell, Condi Rice, Chris Christie, David Patreus......
If he runs, I plan to vote for Cruz.
