Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D.) announced on Monday that he will seek to reinstate a restriction on gun sales that limits individuals in the state to one handgun purchase a month.

The law was repealed during the previous administration of Gov. Bob McDonnell (R.).

McAuliffe’s request for the Republican-dominated legislature to reinstate the law is likely to fall on deaf ears, according to a report by Reuters.

Go to both on a regular basis and the good times are rolling. Both areas are one big permanent construction site.

I’ve seen my share of drones on the Metro all reading the Washington Post. You can almost hear them mumbling “yes master, I hear and obey”.

Crime is at record lows in VA. The murder rate has been less than 4/100,000 for last 3 years - the lowest since before 1960.

One a month. Can’t do it.

With waiting periods, backgrounds, paperwork, etc., you have to get everything scheduled just right to get even 10/year.

This isn't going anywhere. Why would he even bother?

How the hell did the people of VA elect that guy?

Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, and to some extent Loudon County are all heavily Dem. Transplanted libs from elsewhere who have come to the DC area for the jobs. So populous they can overwhelm the rest of the state if they vote as one.

GReat idea......that would also make all the filthy rich libs that live in those counties lose their gun rights that come with living in Virginia! Disarm the libs by their own philosophy! Super idea!

Now - how do we make it happen?

Those I know in DC think everything is wonderfully prosperous and peaceful under the Flying Fop.

DC is booming. Rents and real estate are sky high, and old extremely iffy neighborhoods are gentrifying overnight. Very large gay community too.

That was such a stupid law. I can’t imagine that going anywhere in the legislature.

The ONLY redeeming quality of that law was that it probably did keep me from going broke a couple of times. lol

We should ‘donate’ NoVA to Maryland or DC. Really, only two or three counties.

Our state election map by county will just make you sick.

“This isn’t going anywhere. Why would he even bother? ”

I assume that large campaign contributions from the Sorosian change-agent financiers are contingent on a national flood of doomed ‘feel good’ legislation like this one effort. It sets the stage for blaming conservatives for everything in two years.

Now how am I supposed to amass an arsenal for Democracy if McAuliffe limits my activities.

You need to understand what this man is doing. He knows he cannot outright ban guns so he must do it by increments

Once the law determines criteria concerning your ability to purchase a gun, it is only a matter of time when they write a law saying you may only buy a gun on a leap year, and only if you were born on a Tuesday, and only if you are younger than you were the year before.

WDC is always propped-up economically by your tax money. That most of the top 10 wealthiest counties ring the beltway is no accident. The pols steal your money and spread it around there. Is it any wonder that we are $19,000,000,000,000.00 in debt?

“This isn’t going anywhere. Why would he even bother?”

As a democrat he believes it’s expected of him and a large donor to his campaign possibly suggested it.

Does that mean there will be no restriction on the number of “assault” and “sniper” rifles you can by.

Hey, Virginia, it’s what you get for putting this Clymer in office. He belongs in prison after that Global Crossing insider trading crap!

Yep, terry turned $100K and inside tips into $20 Million and my ex-dumbass broker turned my $80K into ZERO.

Don't ever want to hear about politicians and how they turn "tips" into cash, those rat bastards.
