Single Mom Takes On McDonald’s in Wage Fight [instead of getting better job skills and a husband]

She’s a mom on a mission. A single mother-of-two from the Los Angeles neighborhood of South Central recently went on strike against her employer McDonald’s. Maribel makes $9.35 per hour working as a server but that’s not enough to support her family (she shares a home with 10 other people including her children, grandmother, and niece). “I need fifteen to buy my babies diapers, their wipies, their clothes,” she explains. “Its hard with nine dollars per hour — you can’t do that. It’s really hard to pay rent.”

On December 4, Maribel, along with a large group seeking $15 per hour and union rights for fast food workers, picketed a McDonald’s location in downtown Los Angeles. “It’s really exciting going inside my own store,” she says before leading a group of chanting protesters inside. Maribel was not alone in her efforts — that day, fast food workers walked off the job in more then 150 cities across the country.

Who needs marriage and better job skills, when you can just whine and complain instead?

SEIU. Union wages are based tied to minimum wage.

There are trained machinists and welders who barely make $15. per hour. Maybe benefits but not much more than that.

I cannot abide people like Maribel. It is not McDonald’s fault if she cannot make ends meet on the hourly rate she agreed to when she took the job. Her life outside of the golden arches is not that company’s responsibility. If she needs another $5.65/hour to make ends meet, how about a second job?

Companies cannot give in to this “living wage” nonsense. Like other types of extortion, it won’t end there.

She still has time to spread her legs. I want to know how much welfare this woman receives. It is commendable she has a job but quitting and walking off the job to protest not having $15 an hour shows her entitlement mentality.

Idiots like this is why I won’t go to any McDonalds Hopefully Burger King and the others will have more intelligence that to hire them. She is just like the other Obama parasites, they suck the blood out of one host and when that host is bled dry and dies, they move to another and do the same thing.

It’s far worse than that. The unions heads make that argument but we never see union wages match gains from minimum wage.

They went from 7 to 10 bucks. That’s a near 40% boost. What union job has ever seen a 40% boost or even a 3$ boost after that?

It just doesn’t happen but union leadership lies and the lowest levels of the union buys it while the skilled union workers get shafted.

Truer than you think. Let this “movement” go further and succeed, then as the price of food at Mickey D’s goes through the roof, those “living wage” jobs will vanish like a snow flake in a heat wave.
There are more and more places already that can feed their customers BETTER food at McDonald prices.
And a question she should consider....Is there any where else within commuting distance where she could get that mythical job that pays $15.00 per hour. Is she even qualified and/or able to hold down a $15.00 per hour job???
I think I know the answer to that one.

I would go way, way out on a limb and say George Soros. It may be through a branch of the Communist Party, but it is still Soros, in my opinion.
