My point is that when I had staff on the road I made sure that they had basic emergency kits in their cars.

No kidding. Where I work, we have a kit at/near every doorway. No matter where I am in the plant, I am within 50’ of an emergency kit.

These are survival kits for federal employees, not bank employees. The original story posted a couple of weeks ago made it clear. It was for the bank examiners. The headline is misleading. This story barely covers that, but it specifically says the following "survival kits being ordered for government workers at every major bank".

The kits are used because the employees are on travel status while conducting business on bank property, not at their home office. Not that I think taxpayer money should be spent on them, but that's what they are for.

These kits would probably result in more casualties than having nothing at all. This being said, they should go “full retard” by putting lots of other “emergency” gear in them.

Atropine injectors, against nerve gas.

Lots of Oxycontin pills.

Neck tourniquet.

Sucking head wound cork.
