There is blood on hands of those who demanded ‘dead cops’
NY POST ^ | December 21, 2014 | By Bob McManus

“What do we want?” drones the blood chant.

“Dead cops!” comes the reply.

Done.

Thus does rhetoric have consequences.

There may have been just a single shooter in Bedford-Stuyvesant on Saturday afternoon. But New York’s failure to denounce without nuance the bloodlust that’s been boiling out of the corners of the Eric Garner-Michael Brown demonstrations for weeks now boils down to this:

There is blood on many hands this morning.

Yes, First Amendment. Yes, redress of grievances. Yes, peaceful protests — even as clogged bridges and mobbed boulevards created, however temporarily, very real peril for tens of thousands of New Yorkers every night for a week.

The free-speech trope is so obviously true that it’s a deflection even to raise it.

Here’s the real issue: It was, and it remains, the responsibility of protest organizers — such as they may be in the face of ubiquitous social media — to directly address murderous incantations, to unequivocally condemn those who call down harm on the city’s protectors.

And they didn’t do that.

Moreover, when two of the six people who “allegedly” attacked two cops on the Brooklyn Bridge a week ago Saturday night turn out to be, respectively, a CUNY professor and an organizer for a union that placed five one-time senior union leaders in top de Blasio administration posts, it’s clear that New York isn’t dealing with bearded Bolsheviks living in caves.

In this Dec. 4, 2014, file photo, protesters carry signs criticizing the police, and replicas of coffins during a march over the Brooklyn Bridge to protest a grand jury's decision not to indict the police officer involved in the death of Eric Garner, in New York.

And were it not for the NYPD, everyone of these would be looked and acted upon as prey.

How quickly they would cry out for police then.

Guaranteed there’s a block of A.N.S.W.E.R. somewhere in the background, somewhere behind all of this chanting, rubbing their hands together, drooling for their plans to come together.

It’s war now. Those behind inciting the war are using the usual useful idiots to force the cops into war mode. The cops will become loud, and clear voices for gun control. It’s their lives on the line. It’s the goal of the inciters.

Across the country, Ferguson protests were allowed to get out of control, stopping traffic, destroying public events, making people feel unsafe about going into cities. How about we start that blame at the very first protests, when those who swarmed onto highways and into areas they didn't have permits to gather in weren't arrested and stiffly fined?

And how about the media stopping their fake even-handed reporting? Those who were shot by the police weren't gunned down for just walking down the street. They were all defying police authority when they died. We can be sorry they died, but put it on the minority community to learn that death is a possible outcome of breaking laws and ignoring police.

Of course, get the bad cops off the street. Improve community policing....which won't happen if police have to spend so much time and resources babysitting out of control mobs. But don't let the out-of-control elements in some black communities blame anyone but themselves for the sorry state their neighborhoods are in.

grrr.....end of rant.

So, what is anyone going to do about it? The short answer is NOTHING.

The police union has issued new rules that will hit the city budge, etc. One rules is that 2 cars are dispatched on EVERY call, regardless of the the nature of the call.

==

Those (at the highest levels) who incited this either did not expect it to reach this level or they incited with the hope and intention that deaths could result.

I was thinking the same thing. The only “action” will be something like the appointment of a blue ribbon commission that is tasked to “harmonize” the community and the police force. Of course the real purpose will be to get this inconvenient incident off the front pages and into the background. It IS all about politics.

Oh, and people will get REALLY angry on Facebook, too. I suggested (last night) that Rick Perry urge all of Texas’ CHL-holder to carry every day until further notice, in order to support our officers - especially our DPS troopers who are most often stuck on our highways by themselves with little chance for timely reinforcements.

Sharpton and rest of the racists called for dead cops.

It’s not like they put a surveyor’s mark (that happens to look like a cross-hair) on a map.

Sharpton and rest of the racists called for dead cops.

They are merely following obama's dictate to "Stay the Course."

Here’s the real issue: It was, and it remains, the responsibility of protest organizers

Have to fix this: Here’s the real issue: It was, and it remains, the responsibility of one community organizer in the White House.

I’d like to see someone like Cruz, or another prominent consrvative say this. There’s got to a lot of anger and frustation on our side of this issue. It’s time someone tapped into it.

I’ve been watching some news programs this morning; that cop killing chant has yet to be referenced. One did mention Sharpton as being involved in a controversy, but did not state why.

These savages should all be proud for killing two men that was trying to keep the city going.

I PUT A CURSE ON EVER LAST ONE OF THESE SAVAGES AND WISH FOR THEM THE MOST EVIL THINGS THAY CAN HAPPEN..I HOPE EVER LAST ONE OF THEM NEEDS A POLICE OFFICER AND NONE SHOW UP..

The murdering scum that did this is roasting in hell where he belongs and where I hope Obama,HOLDER,SHARPTON,AND THE NEW CMMUNIST MAYOR ALL WILL RESIDE ONE DAY..THEY ARE ALSO THE CAUSE OF THESE MEN GETTING MURDERED..

With what is going on in NYC it would be the perfect time for the terrorist to strike again..but I doubt that will happen since they all are proud of their son OBAMA..for keeping this country in a turmoil..

I also curse George Soros that evil Nazi that is paying these savage murderers that are walking the streets.

They really are going to need to shut down the internet for conservatives. Too much truth is getting out.
