Police union declares war on de Blasio after murder of officers

Amid an outpouring of condemnation of the slaying of two NYPD officers, the city's highest-profile police union official focused his outrage on the mayor.

Following a somber press conference during which de Blasio and NYPD commissioner Bill Bratton recounted the facts of the execution-style death of the two police officers, Patrolmen's Benevolent Association president Pat Lynch blamed City Hall for the double murder.

"There is blood on many hands tonight. Those that incited violence on the street under the guise of protests that tried to tear down what New York City police officers did every day," Lynch said during a brief press conference outside Woodhull Hospital in Brooklyn Saturday night.

"That blood on their hands," he added, "starts on the steps of City Hall in the office of the mayor."

Lynch addressed the media moments after the bodies of the two slain officers—40-year-old Rafael Ramos and 32-year-old Wenjian Liu—were driven out of the hospital in police vehicles, as officers stood by silently and saluted them.

He vowed action after the officers' funerals.

I wonder how many dyed-in-the-wool union cops voted for this commie?

Maybe Union members (white, Hispanic and asian) will begin to abandon the Democrat party now?

I am feeling a minor bit of Schadenfreude for the union leaders. They’ve backed the Leftists for generations and now, when the agenda demands they “sacrifice” for “the glorious cause”, they realize they’ve been thrown under the bus.

What’s a few dead uniforms and some somber music for an hour, when The Glorious Cause is advanced by their
“heroic sacrifices”?

The union rank-and-file better wake up to reality, that they are and have never been anythign else, but pawns of the Left.

And go where? The Republicans? The party that lives and breaths anti-unionism?

As someone who has suffered the consequences, do not fight with New York unions...

“the city’s highest-profile police union official focused his outrage on the mayor.”

The resolution of this problem is easy to see.

DeBlasio will offer the police union more of the taxpayers money, and the police union will take it.

The taxpayer will not be any more safe and secure. The police wont work any harder. The criminal class won’t be held any more accountable.

De Blasio has created an image of an official for whom the rules of accountability don’t apply, one who seems to have contempt for the public, the press and anyone who disagrees with him.....maybe it was those secret meetings with members of the Obama administration.

A walk-through Big Bird De Blasio's chicken coop.

Once served as Public Advocate under the name "Warren Wilhelm."

Personally placed a late-night "fixer" call to the NYPD following the arrest of his political pal, Bishop Orlando Findlayter.

Ordered police department to withhold the bishop’s arrest report.

Has barred the press from a number of speaking engagements.

Snubbed pro-Israel AIPAC--deleted speech from his public schedule.

Insists on taxing the wealthy for pre-K, even though state aid was offered.

Refuses to answer questions he finds inconvenient.

How are those unions working out for the middle class and NY? They support Sharpton as much as ever.

Pray America wakes up

“And go where? The Republicans? The party that lives and breaths anti-unionism?”

The Conservative GOP embraces individual freedom and rejects the communist led unions that is strangling America. From the UAE to the Teachers’ Union, all unions have outlived their usefulness and have become a cancer to our Constitution.

Good-bye DD and your leftist/socialist mental disorder!

Do you have a better solution? Not that I think the GOPe has any answers at all, but your castigation is about as helpful as another Al Sharpton Rallye.

How about uniting under what the GOPe hates, Ted Cruz!

The Glorious Revolution! The commie lovers wanted the nation to rise up and...and...oops, the unions were supposed to join them la revolucion. Now they are turning on their beloved masters.

Hey De Blasio! It is a long standing and unwritten code of tyrants:

Never, ever, ever screw over the Praetorian Guard.

Idiot!

The business leaders of NYC have to call for the resignation of Bill deBlasio and the repudiation of AL Sharpton.

Their reign of terror has gone on long enough.

Donald Trump, how about leading the charge? The city you save might be your own?

Right. So to the original poster's point, why should unions drop the Democrats and embrace the Republicans? Or can't you answer that?
