By adding an average of 803 new residents each day between July 1, 2013 and July 1, 2014, Florida passed New York to become the nation’s third most populous state, according to U.S. Census Bureau state population estimates released today. Florida’s population grew by 293,000 over this period, reaching 19.9 million. The population of New York increased by 51,000 to 19.7 million.

California remained the nation’s most populous state in 2014, with 38.8 million residents, followed by Texas, at 27.0 million. Although the list of the 10 most populous states overall was unchanged, two other states did change positions, as North Carolina moved past Michigan to take the ninth spot.

Another milestone took place in Georgia (ranked 8th), which saw its population surpass 10 million for the first time.

The growth is good for our economy down here is Florida. The problem is that there are too many morons moving down here from up north who have not yet figured out why the places they left are so screwed up. They get down here and follow the same voting patterns.

” California remained the nation’s most populous state in 2014, with 38.8 million residents,”

8.8 million of which are illegals......

Billy Joel predicted it in 1975....

You know those lights were bright on Broadway,
But that was so many years ago.
Before we all lived here in Florida,
Before the Mafia took over Mexico.

There are not many who remember,
They say a handful still survive.
To tell the world about,
The way the lights went out!
And to keep the memory alive!

Diana, in the past decade this state's most populous regions have turned from a tropical semi-paradise to the South Bronx with Palm Trees. Trouble is, intended to be under water for part of the year, about 70% of this state is uninhabitable, so the naturally habitable places are under increasing pressure. Also, the climate in summer makes Devil's Island feel comfy.

Where the drinking water is supposed to come from is a mystery. What's not a mystery is that the state will surely go increasingly Democrat, some of it caused by legal voters, but most caused by illegal alien votes, 'hanging chads' and the Nooyawkuz and Joizy double-dip absentee-ballot-in-two-states-voters.

Any room left in Wisconsin?

The mentally impaired (LIBs) from NY move to FLA to pollute it with their LIB asshat ideas and votes. Note to self: avoid LA at at costs.

It is significant, as the northeast continues to bleed electoral votes. Kennedy was probably the last president from the northeast.

Just WAIT until the millions of 0bama-Freed Cubans arrive in Florida!

It's bad enough with all the NY and NJ people that wrecked their home states by improper voting... and have all headed to FLA.

Texas’ growth is due to illegals and CA libs. I’d rather have the illegals.

Wisconsin Is Open For Business! :)

Florida does not appeal to me in the least. No one needs to worry about this Yankee moving any further ‘south’ than, say, Tennessee. :)

I beg to differ. They’ve all figured out why things are bad up North and they are about to “help” Florida to become just like where they came from. All they really want is warmer weather. Believe me you won’t like the outcome. I’ve lived in California all of my life and I can tell you it used to be a wonderful place to live before we were invaded right after WWII.
