Plenty of idiots from PA and OH and other states come to Times Square. Not many Native New Yorkers go for that. We never went and neither did my parents or my Grandparents.

You realize you sound fascist, almost hitlerish?

I am sorry the officers died. But they died by a crazy person. Protesting is legal. This is the same argument you get with gun control. One issue and no one should have guns.

And make no mistake, there is a lot of corruption in the NYPD. I had an issue when I asked an officer name after I got pulled over for a seat belt ticket (I had my seat belt on). I got threatened with a misdemeanor for asking his name. I filed an internal affairs complaint. They call me New Year’s Eve at 1130 pm and 6am New Year’s Day. I got back 3 days later and they told me the case was closed since I didn’t call them back sooner...

Oh my. At lest with Christmas, people can just buy online. Eventually, these thugs will be stopped. People will not put up with it.

Some of the protestors are involved with the “antiwar” pro-North Korean group, International A.N.S.W.E.R.

“...due to the forced closing of our stores during the holiday season...”

“Lootable” stores are never closed, and New York City is the largest Wal-Mart in the world. It will not take much to unleash the herd.

Merry Christmas.

Let them shut it down. New Yorkers voted for chaos. When they have had enough, they will clamor for order to be restored. In the meantime, let them reap what they have sown. Eventually, there will be a backlash—but only if the lives of the liberal elite begin to be inconvenienced by the ‘demonstrations.’

....Yet they are truly ENSLAVED to a system that is a FULL FAILURE. Only the newborn King of Kings and Prince of Peace CAN LIBERATE them.

Merry Christmas!

“But they died by a crazy person”

BS. He was capable of driving from, Baltimore to NYC, precisely where they called for dead cops. a four hour commute. He was then able to use an app to find an area where there were police. He was able to calmly walk around and find precisely two policemen in a cruiser (take one of ours WE take two of yours). Then he methodically and calmly fired four shots into the car. Sorry, but these are not the actions of a deranged crazy person, they are the actions of a person full of rage and hatred, fueled by a false narrative promoted by CRAZY hate filled politicians.

Protesting is legal.

Yes, it is. However, blocking traffic, disrupting commerce, and harassing those just trying to get to work or home is not.

But they died by a crazy person.

Mr. Brinsley was bat**** crazy, but being bat**** crazy and being a modern liberal are not mutually exclusive. In fact, one could argue that there is a positive correlation between the two.

Within the boundaries of the law, of course it's a Constitutional right to peaceably assemble and petition government for redress of grievances. But I doubt things would have unfolded this way when Giuliani was mayor.

The leadership is the insurrection

It is the leadership that must be ended. The situation is not yet grim enough for that to happen

It is actually a republic.

Boy are you posting the best one here. The communist government of New Jerk depends on the revenues generated by the taxes derived from the business activity of this season.
Not only revenues will be lost. Thousands of jobs in retail establishments, restaurants, service and delivery industries will be a further financial burden on city and state governments that truly deserve getting what they asked for.
New Years is next week. Will the TIMES SQUARE riots have a negative effect on the city’s celebration? Will the fear of rioting by the “peace loving protesters” further harm the economic life of New Jerk?
I truly hate to say it, but the good people, those who suffered through 9/11/01 are getting screwed once again, and from “out of towners” fueld by their virulent hatreds.
Lets NOT wish New Yorkers a “Happy New Year”. What I sincerely wish them is A “BETTER NEW YEAR” IN ‘15.

The whole crowd of protesters should be arrested and fined heavily for civil disobedience but don’t hold your breath waiting for DeBlasio to give the order.
