The YouTube video has been set to private, so I didn't get to watch it. But the article does a thorough job of describing the video.

if this was shown on local tv
Respectfully, no lawyer worth his/her salt would advise their client (TV station) to air this video, due to liability concerns. I was shocked that this was in ultra liberal Yahoo!

Isn’t this wreckless child endangerment? Shouldn’t it be actionable.

The NRA has the Eddie Eagle GunSafe program that comes to schools and teaches firearm safety to young children.
---------
If you see a gun:
STOP!
Don't Touch.
Leave the Area.
Tell an Adult.
---------
This ad violates every single aspect of gun safety for children. It was clearly produced by people whose entire knowledge of firearms is, "They're evil."
It literally teaches:
Pick up the gun. (Is it loaded? Who knows?)
Hide it in your backpack. (What could possibly go wrong?)
Carry it to school. (Seriously?)
Walk up to a teacher and pull it out.
So that's like four or five felonies the kid has committed.
You know, I bet they thought it was really wise to show the kid waiting until the other kids left the room. As if the teacher wouldn't just about mess their pants when they saw a lone kid hang back and then pull a Glock out of his backpack.
Jeez Loueez...
Not only that but did you catch the whole "turn in your parents" vibe?

I saw the video, and I want to know what the kid was doing in his mom’s underwear drawer?
To: grundle
It's a perfect PSA for libtards and a back-door means for them to disarm a few people.
Consider: any kid that does this will probably be charged with several felonies. Theft of a firearm. Illegal concealed carry on the way to school. Taking a firearm onto school grounds. Even if they are charged and convicted as a minor they will never be able to legally own firearms.
Bonus round for the libtards. The parents will be charged with negligence, child endangerment, some kind of domestic "violence" charge etc. for leaving the weapon(s) out where the kids could get at them to steal them. Almost certainly disqualifies them from owning or ever legally purchasing firearms again.
Net result is the libtards get to disarm 2 or 3 otherwise law abiding citizens. FU liberals and every single lib lurker reading this. You are un-American, anti-American. You are liars, cheats, and the worst kind of people. I don't know how you can live with yourselves.

What is it with Libs? Did they find a secret stash of airplane glue and sniff it until nothing was left of their brain?
This spot wasn’t created by one person. A collective put it together and each of them lacked the capacity to grasp this was shockingly ignorant, even extremely dangerous.
And these people think those with like minds should be in charge.
What’s more, essentially today they are.

That’s what I thought. Is it legal to tell children to break the law and endanger them at the same time?
To: MeshugeMikey
somebody wants and all out civil war....and it isnt joe average
Wow, that’s pretty bad stuff. I will have to read it in full, a bit later. These knuckleheads don’t realize that Joe Average is better armed, in terms of total numbers, and is much more proficient with his firearms. Thanks for the information.

"Your parents are dangerous and stupid. Turn their evil weapons over to us. We will protect you."In prison. Because prisons must be the safest places, because there are very few guns in prisons.
