If the far left wants to discredit someone, why dump precious millions of dollars on paying off 26+ random women from BC’s past to manufacture fake stories, and expose themselves and their families to public ridicule, potential prosecution, lawsuits and counter-lawsuits, just to discredit far-left and black Cosby?
Why risk a split in the otherwise solidly Democratic, left-wing AA left voting bloc?
Why not pick on a nice juicy dangerous target of the far left, such as Ted Cruz?
A payoff of successfully attacking Ted Cruz with false allegations would mean possibly derailing a potential 2016 presidential candidate. The payoff for successfully attacking a rabid leftist aging AA multimillionaire comedian with false allegations seems to me to be about 50 votes. The risks of exposure of such a conspiracy are considerable (if not politically suicidal), and about invariant with respect to each well known public personality.
Care to flesh out your conspiracy theory with plausible motive?
There is a Feb. 11, 1988 Toledo Blade article that mentions Bill Cosby’s reward pledge in the Tawana Brawley case:
Reward Offered for Information on Sexual Attack
From the Blade’s Wire Services
NEW YORK— Entertainer Bill Cosby has joined with Edward Lewis, publisher of Essence Magazine, and an investor in offering a $25,000 reward for information about the reported sexual attack on Tawana Brawley, a black teen-ager from Wappingers Falls, N.Y.
The reward is easy to find, but Cosby wrote an article on it, that isn’t easy to find.
Good. Glad to hear it!
Bill, Hillary and George Stephonopolis could show Cosby the insider tricks...
Because too many blacks were starting to listen to Cosby.
Doubt if many blacks pay much attention to Cruz but if Cosby tells them to pull up their pants and get a job that is an entirely different situation.
Who says the left won’t attack Cruz too?
sooooo your theory is that the vast left wing conspiracy devotes all this attention to a minority of a minority because of the potential for a 77yo semi-retired hollywood comedian might influence that minority of a minority to rise and somehow affect the course of national elections in a major way, leaving big name conservative leaders alone?
rather than just go to a big name conservative leader directly?
ooohh kaaayyy...
In case you haven’t noticed, the left is OBSESSED with keeping blacks on the plantation - can’t risk Cosby’s views getting any traction.
I didn’t think anyone wasn’t aware of how important the black vote is to the left. The black vote does effect elections in a major way.
And I guess you haven’t noticed the rape allegations from leftist women recently. And then there are women who just changed their minds. Former groupies who regret their wild youth etc.
Smearing is what the left excels at. All you’re really saying is Cosby is too minor to mess with - if they were going to smear they would be going after a major conservative etc. I thought that’s what they did when they exposed Herman Cain - couldn’t risk blacks voting for him.
Or what do they have on GOP congressional leaders who roll over for them all the time? Whatever it is, it’s more valuable to the left if it’s kept secret than if it’s exposed.
But, this thread has died so not much point in our continuing to bicker.
soooo...
30 women and counting when 5 or 10 would do?
and allegations covering a 45 year period of time?
are modern liberals really that smart?
if we are to believe so, then heck, maybe they deserve to be in charge...
:-)
I read the entire thread and learned more from your cogent posts than all of the news reports I’ve read over the past few months put together.
Kudos.
You’ve stood your ground well with data and facts against those who refuse to believe that the “Cos” is/was capable of such predatory behavior and is most likely innocent -accused falsely by a bunch of vindictive women only looking for a payday.
Cosby’s been dropped by sponsors lately and had his upcoming TV show canceled - he’s had a long history of drugging and raping women. His sponsors are abandoning him, would they do so if they thought he was innocent of the charges?
Funny how ALL of those women 26 (?) somehow have the same exact story - over 50 years and the entire area of the US.
Thanks for all the info you presented.
