US finds Israel fourth most "unacceptable" country

Foreign Policy article examines number of times state department referred to "unacceptable" behavior this year; Israel ranked between North Korea and Pakistan.

The US State Department described Israeli actions as "unacceptable" 87 times in 2014, with only three countries being more "unacceptable," according to a Foreign Policy article published last week.

Journalist Micah Zenko searched the State Department's website for usage of the term, and his "top ten" list shows Israel sandwiched right between North Korea and Pakistan. Zenko pointed that the US officials regularly use the phrase "but then do very little in response to prevent or deter those actions from reoccurring."

Most of the condemnations relating to Israel involved building in settlements or the announcement of plans to construct additional housing behind the Green Line. Government spokespeople also castigated Israel for civilian casualties during Operation Protective Edge.

US Secretary of State John Kerry recently used the "unacceptable" label to refer to North Korea's alleged hacking of the Sony Corporation.

The US State Department is not the only entity in the international diplomacy arena that tends to recycle certain phrases. Ynet found that UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon used the word "concerned" 140 times in 2014 in statements responding to events. Israel and Palestine were the most concerning places of 2014, with 19 press releases using the term.

Of course the only good Jew is a dead one as far as the political left is concerned. Everyone else can commit whatever evil acts they want and still be transparent to liberals.

Maybe Israel needs to behead more Islamic militants. Or even better, some civilians. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

What they really mean is OBAMA considers Israel the fourth most “unacceptable” country.

“Israel ranked between North Korea and Pakistan.”

John Effing Kerry is doing quite a bang-up job at State, isn’t he? Everyone who would rather go to NK or Pakistan instead of Israel, speak out!

Placing it under U.S.? Seems like more and more is unacceptable to me these days.

A lot of people need to be fired at the United States Department of State.

The US State Department has long ago ceased to represent the U.S.

Between North Korea and Pakistan? Really. Well, I find Barack Hussein Obama the least acceptable, the most classless and incompetent head of state anywhere in the world. In fact, I wish Bibi were our head of state. Would swap in a heartbeat.

Could there be any more evidence of an effective propaganda effort by the leftist "media?" Turning against Israel will not result in a good ending for this country.

The terms racist and anti-Semitic belong in the same family. Obama and his ilk use this family to scapegoat, distract and divide for their putrid political ambitions. It is not Israel they condemn, but Jewish people.

'Unacceptable' the dreadful cousin of 'inconceivable'. As in, "It's inconceivable the Israelis won't kiss Obama's...(ahem) ring, and sell it's soul to the enemy." That kind of 'unacceptable'?

I’m giving up on the polls. They must be going to the Commie, Islamic, and NAACP rolls for their candidates.

I was curious what countries were worse than North Korea. Evidently Syria and Iran. From Foreign Policy Review:

“For example, using the State Department search engine, the top 10 countries for whom “unacceptable” was most often used in conjunction with since the start of the Obama administration: Syria (147), Iran (118), North Korea (115), Israel (87), Pakistan (83), Russia (78), Egypt (77), China (74), Afghanistan (66), and Iraq (63).”
