A deadly influenza strain has the U.S. in the grip of what could develop into a "severe" flu season, with widespread cases already reported in 36 states, a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention expert said Tuesday.
The H3N2 strain, the most common flu virus this season, began mutating shortly after U.S. health experts created this year's vaccine -- rendering it less effective compared to past flu vaccines, Dr. Michael Jhung, a medical officer with the CDC's influenza division, told FoxNews.com.

Never-mind it is yet another thing that can cause a person’s immune system to back fire on itself and start attacking your own tissues.
When it comes to vaccines my rule of thumb is to only take the serious ones.

Keep hydrated and keep an eye on your temperature. If it is over 3 degrees over normal for more then a couple of days you might want to call your doctor. If it hits 4 degrees for a couple a days definitely call your doctor.

I’m not taking the risk with getting a flu shot. I’ve had a couple bad years, but the issue has been other problems and I hear about people getting the wrong type of vaccine, or getting sick because of the flu shot.
Since our medical ‘professionals’ apparently have no brains I’m keeping off of the flu shot.

There are thousands of strains of flu virus. Early in the year they do a calculated guess as to which three will be the "Big Three" that year and they make a vaccine.
If they guess correctly and you get vaccinated you will not get the prevailing strains of the flu. If they guess incorrectly you might get the prevailing strains of the flu however chances are the strains they chose are close enough that you will suffer much less then you would without having gotten the vaccination.
As for "people getting sick" because of the flu shot, yes they can if they are allergic to the shot. If they have a very weak immune system and they get a live virus immunization they might get the flu. Because the virus was weakened they will get a much lighter case.
I am not sure it is the medical professionals who have no brains but do as you like.
I haven’t had the flu in over 20 years and have never had the vaccine.
I am almost sure I have MS or it is another auto-immune. Some of my symptoms could be caused by several but getting my doctors to do any testing is almost impossible. Some A-I’s seem to protect from getting the flu.
I don’t trust what is in the vaccines or where they are from. Actually I don’t trust any of my medications. Who only knows what fillers they have in them.
My last batch of metformin didn’t just smell a little fishy, it smells like the whole damn dead fish was in the bottle. I stopped taking them over 3 weeks ago and felt better.

I am currently dealing with Discontinuation syndrome. I had what I thought was an UTI or kidney infection but now I am not so sure it wasn’t kidney and/or liver damage from the Cymbalta. I tried to take a 30mg on the Monday before Christmas but my body rejected it soon after. I was taking 60mg but was planning to step back to the 30mg for a few weeks and then quit since it wasn’t helping with my nerve pain. That is when brain zap hell started. So after a search and finding out about this nasty side effect that wasn’t included on any info sheet or on medical sites I used to trust, I decided I was quitting now if I was just going to have issues later anyways. I don’t think it helped they switched the generic again.
I am also done with taking pills that main purpose is not a pain killer. Two of them have caused more damage than a good pain killer ever could.
I would up that dose of D3 to 10,000 i.u. per day, plus Vitamin K2 helps you to uptake the D.

I take 10,000 iu D3 per day. How much Vitamin K2 should one take with that much D3?

Read the forums — D3 has been useless this year at preventing or H3N2 and flu-like viral respiratory diseases. Experiences in my family concur.

We all got flu shots back in September... and everyone got sick except for me. Not just once, it seemed my kids picked up every flu including a stomache flu that was going around. I literally zicamed myself four times a day while they were sick, and took a zinc supplement as well. On a few occassions I felt mild tinges but they dissapated within 24 hours! My kids and partner complained of the lingering metallic taste of zicam... and would not comply lol Apparently the virus has a hard time replicating itself in the presence of zinc, it doesn’t mean you won’t catch what’s out there :)
There are multiple types of flu vaccine. I was informed prior to my shot that mine was not live-virus vaccine. (I can’t remember what the other typed was.) I did not get sick. Flu shots have never made me sick. I cannot remember the last time I had the flu. It would have to be 10-15 years ago— if it was actually flu.
Just FYI the live-virus comment: The person who gave me mey shot made a point of informing me that my flu shot contained no live virus.
I think people need to be sure to read the form they fill out prior to receiving the shot and to give thoughtful, correct information. I have never, ever (with 100% certainty) had a problem with flu shots.
You are correct.
There is a "live virus" immunization but it is the one they spray up your nose. If you got the shot you got the dead virus.
Or it might not.
