Completely agree with you. I hate the current RINO domination of the party as much as anyone, but a third party is not a viable option and simply refusing to vote is similarly useless.

The only chance is to change the party from within. True conservatives must take it over, and the only way to do that is through the primary process. The current corruption didn't happen overnight, and the cure for it will take time as well. Keep challenging and beating RINOs in primaries and things will eventually change for the better.

Unfortunately though, once the general election rolls around the only real choice is to vote for the most conservative (or least liberal) candidate. Don't lodge meaningless protest votes - dry up the pool of available RINOs during the primaries instead.

Whom do you think would make the best replacement for Boner with conservative values?

It doesn't matter you will just get a Boehner clone.

Boehner and his pack of fools used it as enough rope to hang themselves.

They are not fools, we are. If we can not recognize that then the Republic is truly over.

From another thread:

Marsha Blackburn should be asked unofficially if she would be willing, and if she says yes, then she should remain quiet while Conservatives prepare to appoint her.

She has the right experience and the right stuff to ascend to Speaker.

And it is important that Conservatives put her name out there while she shuns the cameras and mics. But Conservatives must know ahead of time that she’s willing to accept.

Many in Maine will be watching to see how Bruce Poliquin votes. I pray he does not follow the path Jim Longley took.

I would opt for Gohmert, but doubt it will get to that point.

Unfortunately, it looks like we'll be stuck with Speaker Spray Tan for the next two years.

One vote. Ha!

And big Kabuki Dance and the Nonehead wins by one vote.

They are probably already prepping for the Kabuki Show
(Seeing who Will Be Allowed To Vote Against Bonehead)

And Then 1 Vote.

I’d probably bet the farm on it. They will then justify the 1 vote margin with propaganda of how America is so closely divided.

That election thing? That was yesterday’s truth citizen. BTW, you are looking stressed. Perhaps suicidal. Report you your Obamacare approved and GOP funded psych for an eval. Leave your guns in their locked cases for collection while you’re gone.

And remember to vote.

I love Big Brother.

Boehner will win with Rat votes. Why wouldn’t they vote for a house speaker that supports rat policies.

And then the Bonehead will say "See, I can work across the aisle, with all those people you threw out of office last time!!"

That is the unfortunate reality. But we have to do this even if it doesn't work. Put them on the record.

I agree with you on the “absolutely corrupt” part. I’m still holding out hope that Boehner gets thrown out a fifth floor window!

A buncha ‘rats could easily come to Boner’s rescue.

It would set a new precedent if they did.

From Wikopedia: It is expected that members of the House vote for their party's candidate. If they do not, they usually vote for someone else in their party or vote "present". Those who vote for the other party's candidate often face serious consequences, up to and including the loss of seniority. The last instance where a representative voted for the other party's candidate was in 2000, when Democrat Jim Traficant of Ohio voted for Republican Dennis Hastert. In response, the Democrats stripped him of his seniority and he lost all of his committee posts.

So why the hell did he NOT VOTE NO on the procedural vote (like the other 16 Repubs) that let it reach the floor?
