Should be noted that there weren't many cops in Manhattan today as they were attending the funeral of one of the slain policemen today.

When the first funeral was happening a week ago Saturday, I was in town and saw a group of blacks in Times Square doing some kind of "skit" around "pants up, don't shoot" or some such nonsense. They had quite a crowd gather around them initially but as soon as the tourists figured out what what happening, they started peeling away pretty quick.

I wonder if that was the same group that went to the restaurants today.

Anyway, I can't think of a more effective way to alienate people from their "cause" then disturbing their meal at an upscale restaurant in Manhattan with some lame reading of names of people killed that they had nothing to do with.

Nice work!

And not a single testicle in the room.

I'd say that if it was me (and since I'm traveling to Manhattan to see my daughter next week, it might be) and lacking my CCW and my otherwise always-with-me Sig MK25 and the 18+1 mag, it might be considered the better part of valor. Now if somebody tries to lay a finger on my wife or daughter, that's a horse of a different.... ummm errr, color! Then it's all bets off. At that point it may require me to show that the pen can be mightier than the sword.

I see people getting frustrated. I see people inching toward the pain threshold. And when they hit it, You can tell me what you see.

I am amazed at how ignorant of history people are.

People who post out here, in general, would no doubt not take this sitting down, but people out here are a small sub-set of the general public I’m afraid.

Another reason for the Democrats not to hold their convention in NYC!! That should make the mayor really, really happy!

I see that they choose a criminal-safe, unarmed victim zone for their display of subhuman behavior.

One man standing up and telling them to STFU might well have led the rest. You know what sheep people, especially liberals are.

I’d like to see some detailed polling on how all this is racial stuff is playing with people.

I think the fact that we haven't heard or read much about that (at least I haven't) tells you the answer. Most of the media would either not want that information disseminated or would be afraid of being called "racist" for doing so.

This just drives people to avoid public places; in many cases, pure economics has less people eating out/shopping in malls anyway. These incidents just cause a few more potential customers to pack it in. The whites here were probably terrified they would end up being boiled in a pot or necklaced, and the restaurants in question are going to face an uncertain future.

Twitter is not culpable. Not up to them to screen billions of messages and censor over debatable reasoning. Just like FR shouldn’t be culpable for some idiot fomenting bad behavior.

Remember, freedom of the press applies to people & ideas you don’t like.

The only only people they are irritating are other democrats. Just let them split the white voters out of the party.

Norm, it’s not like people will not fight back....it’s just what we be left to fight back with when that time comes ? I’m not too old & this country looks nothing like the place I grew up in, and I mean nothing.

Good point! From a tactical perspective, this was ill-advised.

You are so right-if these “protestors” feel lucky, they can come try that in a restaurant out here among all the WASP and Hispanic ranchers, bikers and other assorted rednecks-but they won’t like what happens-the sheriff’s deputies are few in a big area-we often must take care of things ourselves...

148 posts plus the comments at the original site and no one has come up with a legal response to this type of situation. It seems any interaction on the part of the patrons of the restaurant would get them arrested. We need a plan.
