I honestly think a large majority of the country, including many R politicians, have forgotten (were not taught) why socialism is bad. I don’t think they care if we become more socialist because they don’t know any better.
For the record, in case you have to argue with a LIV, the main reason socialism is bad is because it places the rights of the State, or Society, above the rights of the Individual. In other words, the Opposite of the American way as expressed by the Bill of Rights and Constitution.
