Radical Islam and western values cannot coexist peacefully
Herald Sun (Melbourne) ^ | 9th January 2015 | Rita Pahani

LET’S get one thing straight; every attack perpetrated by Islamic extremists is an attack against freedom of speech, whether they’re terrorising journalists and cartoonists at a satirical magazine in Paris or bystanders having a quiet coffee in Sydney.

These callous cowards seek to silence dissenting voices by waging a war of terror against anyone who dares question their twisted, totalitarian worldview.

The time for weasel words and treading on eggshells is over. We owe it to the growing number of victims to open our eyes and acknowledge the unmistakable reality that radical Islam and Western values cannot coexist peacefully.

These extremists despise our way of life; our freedom, openness and diversity are an affront to their despotic, backward attitudes.

We must stop pretending that these incidents have nothing to do with Islam. They quite clearly have everything to do with extremist Islam and the sooner we admit this truth the better we can work to protect our people and values from this ever-present scourge.

Islamic extremism is a global problem that moderate, peaceful Muslims need to unconditionally condemn and help solve instead of engaging in games of deflection.

The viciousness of these subhuman savages was on display on the streets of Paris as they walked up to an injured policeman lying helpless on the ground and shot him dead at point-blank range without missing a step. It mattered not that Ahmed Merabet was himself a Muslim. They didn’t care that his arms were raised in surrender; he was shown no mercy.

These are not people who can be reasoned with or counselled into adopting our values of humanity, tolerance and liberty.

When I see how all of our fundamental underpinnings are dissolving from the progressive rot, I honestly can't see how we come back without an act of God.

Education, Popular Culture, Media, Music, the muzzling of Christianity and basic morality, the destruction of Gender identity, destruction of our military, the leftward shift of the cultural viewport to position proponents of our constitution to the extreme right, labeling us as terrorists.

All the civil societal pillars are under attack and I'm not trying to be a downer, that's just how it looks to me. I no longer have representation so it would seem all I can do is pray and tend my own garden until....I don't know.

Islamic extremism is a global problem that moderate, peaceful Muslims need to unconditionally condemn and help solve instead of engaging in games of deflection.

This is key. The time for Muslims' remaining silent has long since passed. If the religion and its peaceful adherents (and there are many) want to survive the 21st century, they must purge radical Islam from within, risking their own lives to do so. I honestly don't know whether their failure is due to complacency, or instead a legitimate fear of reprisal, but Muslims will soon be about as common as Nazis now are, if they don't clean their own house, and soon.

The only alternative is for the civilized world to solve the problem from the outside with a pogrom against all Muslims.

Radical Islam is not something which has always existed. Most, if not all, of the world's great religions have had periods of violence, intolerance, and persecution of "heretics". All of them seem have outgrown such stupidity, except for Islam.

Islam will be necessarily obliterated from modern civilization if it is not cleansed from without or within.

...” every attack perpetrated by Islamic extremists is an attack against freedom of speech”....

I wish they’d quit saying this was an attack against freedom. This is simply what Islamists do...they attack kill and maime because that is what their mandate is.....and they will do so to conquer a nation.

Softening up France has just begun...there will be more as they’ve laid the claims for France to be a Muslim nation by 2020...or there abouts.

Just like they did In Boston and 9/11 these are not going to stop and just to remind us they are continuing with their agenda for the Islamification of the world.

Purge them? Are you kidding? That will never happen...the moderates support them via every Mosque and Community Center they establish in their host nation.... The gunmen are simply the military wing of Islam.

Many in the Muslim world are “saying” they abhor what this publication did, desecrating the image of their false Prophet Muhammad, and while they will openly regret the killing, they would approve the legitimacy of the target as has already been seen and noted on social media.........

Al-Qaeda and the Islamic State did not make up sharia law.. ‘Islam did’... ...We can keep our heads tucked snug in the sand, or we can recognize ‘the source’ of the problem.....The idea that ISLAM is somehow a religion of peace is truly delusional....just as any who imagine it can be reformed are equally as delusional. It won’t happen.

Your comment reminds me of something Winston Churchill said over 100 years ago:

“Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities, but the influence of the religion paralyzes the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world.”

I have no special prophetic powers, but just after 9-11, when George Bush said, “Islam is a religion of peace”, after the horror that had just occurred, I got a frightening sensation in the pit of my stomach that something was very wrong. I learned all I could about Mohammedans and their history.

When I tried to share what I learned, no one wanted to hear it and they let me know it. Those same people are now bringing it up regularly. I tell them the infiltration has been going on for over a decade now, and has gone too far in my opinion to reverse. And that I don't want talk about it now; I've done what I could and it is imperative for to get busy themselves and engage with reality. I can see the fear in their eyes.

....”Sadly it seems that this time there may not be enough Christianity to defend against it. Liberalism has deteriorated the Christian faith even among the Catholics while Islam has remained ever-focused in its goal.”......

Our nation needs to “man up”, and openly and unapologetically make it clear that we are at war with Islam - not this organization or that organization, but a ‘toxic mindset’ and ideology that transcends any one organization - we are going to lose.

It has to be said clearly and plainly, by everyday people and by our leaders... No more squishy “war on terror” talk. This is a cultural and civilizational clash.

There is no simple solution. But without an honest, clear, bold, HONEST accounting of who we are at war with, because they see and pro-claim they are at war with us...we are going to LOSE.....There are NO extremists......just muslims abiding by their laws, which they force on the countries they live in.

Islam is a political system, NOT a religion, and unless and until humanity wakes the hell up and STOPS referring to it as a religion, there is no hope.

Since 2002, I've been saying that the way to rid ourselves of this scourge is to not accept is a religion but a political system, just as you said so well.

Its only in the last 2 years that I’ve finally seen this being said more often. If I saw it, many others who have a public platform could too. So frustrating that we seem to have lost our foresight as nation.

Not engaging with reality has been epidemic with a good portion of the American people — and certainly the media! — since 9/11. Facts need to be faced. They’re facing them in France, right now.

You get it. Many more need to. Even Bill Mahr gets it on this one issue.

Islam is a serial murderer of entire peoples and cultures. Islam must be expunged from this planet.

World War III has started. It’s Islam versus Western Civilization.

But our political leaders won’t admit it until Islam forces them to.

Well stated. Let me ask you, do you think France can overcome the onslaught at this late point?

I can truly relate to your experience as well. So I hooked up with others who too were sharing information and what they had investigated. I became more and more afraid as I learned about their culture and their so called religion...and it's history etc.

My fear was and remains that nation leaders and people are so willfully blind to this very real threat. I can't count the number of times I've shaken my head in disgust for those who continue to buy into the leftist and muslim baloney that is spewed to the public after each and every incident that occurs.

Islam IS the problem,....Alqueda nor ISIS developed nor wrote the Koran and it's teachings....Islam did centuries ago and still practiced and believed to this day as is clearly evidenced worldwide by the continued teaching and indoctrination in every Mulsim Mosque and Community center in the world.... The agenda has not changed....the goal of Islam remains the same....and that of it's followers.

You know as well as I it takes time to investigate the Islamic culture....it also takes an understanding that what they mean when they speak and what we mean are not on the same page....they know it. It's those outside of Islam who do not understand the differences.

Reminds me of the Harvard faculty not understanding that they were going to have to pay for Obamacare too. They’ve realized it too late. That’s how I’m worried it will be with Islam, they’ll get it when dull scabbard’s edge is pressing into the skin of their throat. Damn these ivory tower dreamers. They’re getting people killed.

He was a fool and a dangerous one because he really believed that idiocy and he encouraged others to do so as well. We have a political ruling class that thinks that all religions are the same and will keep saying it as the cancer of Islam spreads throughout the West.

That is all spot on. An apt description of how they are using our freedom against us. The know exactly what they are doing and are taking full advantage of our so called leaders who don’t.

Like the World Trade Towers, they took a long time to build but fell in seconds. Seems like a credible metaphor for our country. I simply cannot comprehend how swift is our decline.
