During John Boehner's weekly press conference on Thursday, MSNBC's Luke Russert took advantage of the recent raucous speaker election to praise the Ohio Republican as “one of the most conservative members” of the House of Representatives “during the last 20 years.”
“I tell you what pains me the most is when they describe me as ‘the establishment,'” the newly re-elected speaker stated. “Now, I’m the most anti-establishment speaker we have ever had.”
Boehner then went on to list what he considered his conservative credentials:

” The push is to paint liberal squishes like Boehner as conservative, and real conservatives as terrorist extremists.”

That could be Harry Reid, or one of those think tanks in the past few years that stated that US soldiers are terrorists as well as anyone who wants the constitution upheld.
I was thinking the same thing. They're not denouncing him as a conservative, they're providing his bona fides, because, apparently, conservatives is stupid.
And if MSNBC is going to bat for you, I'm assuming it's not because you are too conservative.
When simply questioning whether or not federal legislation is “good for America” labels one as conservative...I guess Boner qualifies?
