The only “more” carnage would the terrorists being taken out on day one by arme citizens. Thus saving the lives of those hostages taken a day later.

From what I’ve been able to gather, these terrorists were using automatic weapons. There really aren’t any legal outlets here for that unless you want to pay a buttload for them and go through the legal steps.
Likely, the guns they used were smuggled in from Muslim countries illegally. Illegal is illegal and the number of ‘legal’ guns here in this country isn’t a valid topic of discussion in this IMO. Just more liberal attempts to validate gun control for law-abiding citizens.
