You know, it’s amazing to hear leftwingers talk as though their deviant views are the norm. On that very board (it was the 40 & Over Board, BTW), someone said she was watching Lawrence O’Donnell like a good citizen. Really?? A good citizen wouldn’t allow that raving loon on her TV screen.

I like your taste, LOL. During the ‘90s, I managed an upscale boutique...the owner was a small-town (central VA) Jewish guy who went to New York and got stars in his eyes. He came back home, opened up several shops, and insisted his female employees wear all black, like the women in New York.

Don’t get me wrong, black IS sophisticated and it definitely has its place, but there’s a whole world of color out there. After years of working there, I was so glad to rediscover it again.

Well, most Muslims probably are good people, whether you like it or not. There are about 1.5 BILLION of them in the world. Even if 100 million of them are hardcore Al Qaeda types (an absurdly high estimate) that still leaves 1.4 billion (or about 93+%) who aren't.

Thus, rather than exhibiting cowardice, the statement is probably accurate enough. To argue that over half of the 1.5 billion Muslims in the world are not good people is simply not supported by any evidence I'm aware of.

After all, you run into decent Muslims down at your corner convenience store and gas stations every single day of the week.

If most of these Muslims weren't good people, then we'd be having a Hell of a lot more problems with Islamic Extremism in America than we actually see.

So the statement "most Muslims are good people" is no more controversial than "most people are good people".

It's a rather obvious and straightforward conclusion, supported by ample evidence, and although I'm sure the assertion makes you furious, it doesn't make anybody a coward.

There are a lot of good people, besides Muslims, who hold absurd, backwards beliefs. Hindus, for instance.

If most Muslims weren't good people, the situation here and elsewhere would be much worse. Nay, most people really do want to live in peace, even most Muslims. Percentage-wise, those who which to foment violence and impose Shariah Law appear to be in a distinct minority.

As we have seen, many peaceable Muslims themselves are also frequently victims of these murderous and barbaric animals.

I think it’s an oppositional mindset, adolescent in nature. Separating themselves from where they came from, most often by being virulently anti-American. Taking the side of one’s enemies is ‘sophisticated’ and serves the same purpose.

You miss my point. The cowardice I object to is that everybody has to preface any condemnation of Islamic terrorism with the rote phrase “Most Muslims are good people”. Yeah, we know that, so what? Do we have to repeat that trite phrase every time we talk about murdering savages?
