I think Connecticut has only a few high schools that doesn’t have football team. There’s a growth in CT for hs football since UConn went D1A (FBS).

Yes it is. Played hockey AND basketball. Walk on soph at football but the hoops coach hated the football coach, who was also hated by the hockey coach so I was back on the 2 sport line. My parents were concerned about my grades but they were OK. But the real reason I joined HS sports is simply because chicks love jocks. I never had a “lonely” Saturday night.

Trust me, I AM a Bucks fan. But I have seen grade school kids go after players to injure them so they would need to leave the game. Bad coaching leads to bad kids. I LOVED being team mom to nearly all of to my son’s sports teams. I just enjoy the pure sport, not the borderline destruction that some coaches endorsed. Playing sports is such a good character builder. Please, leave the ‘win at all costs (such as intentionally injuring the best player)’ attitude at the door. And I AM talking grade school level.

PS-my son also played JV and Varsity football in high school. JV he played a lot......varsity not so much. But by that time he was already looking ahead to what he wanted after high school graduation. As I have already said, football builds character.......and that lasts long after the glow of the ‘Friday Night Lights’ has dimmed.
