A Texas prison bus carrying 15 people veered off a road and was hit by train on Wednesday, prison officials said, with local media saying at least 10 people were killed in the accident.
The bus with 12 inmates and three corrections officers was traveling from Abilene to El Paso when it skidded off a highway and ended up on railroad tracks, the Texas Department of Criminal Justice said based on preliminary reports.
The accident took place near the western Texas city of Odessa.

More details needed on the cause. Hope the inmates didn't attack the guards and cause the accident. Hope no inmates escaped.

Were they hauling prisoners to a prison? There is a prison right off I-20 in that area.

Given the number, I'd say to
Probably new inmates, perhaps still reeling from the court and all
Planning their strategy on how to do their time until two years, five years, ten years or more are up and they can go home
I don't know
But someone else in control of their lives f***** up somehow and they ended up in a precarious position
Was anyone conscious looking out the window at the on coming train ... knowing they were powerless to save their own lives ?
Was that one a car thief or some other foolish drunken crime that got 'im a year or two ?

I think of things like that
Prayers for the families of both inmates and guards
tragedy regardless. all of those people had families
and lives ... even inside ... there is life.

Uhhhh. Hmmmm. Prisons in several states are having problems with ‘death drugs’. Maybe they could consider using trains.
