As another FReeper noted above, the term evangelical comes from the word evangel...gospel...GOOD NEWS. People can be free from the perversion that binds them! Jesus has already paid the price for that freedom.
You’re saying bull to my having said that gay marriage is toothpaste out of the tube?
You may not like it but it really is. Those who wanted it handled it really, really well, making it a “right to love whoever we want” issue. It’s done. And fighting it will hurt us without bringing anything in return, in the next election.
While I do argee that gay marriage is a done deal this summer, conservatives need to be willing to stand up for religious liberty. The HHS mandate on religious institutions is just the beginning. The gay gestapo will be looking for ways to use the government to force churches & other religious institutions to approve of homosexuality.
I agree there.
Since the gay agenda made this a freedom of lifestyle issue, we need to remind them -— freedom for all to choose how they want to live. Religious liberty sold be in the same exact category of orientation Liberty, racial Liberty, everything. They can’t win on both sides.
Legalized incest and/or pedophilia is the next toothpaste out of the tube
I’m saying every time normal, decent people give one inch to every identity group (sex based or race based), we accept destruction, misery and death.
No hyperbole.
“They cant win on both sides.”
They can’t? Yaelle they are. And they will continue to. They don’t play by any rules and neither do their extremely powerful enablers.
This is simply good vs evil. And evil is kicking some major A$%. On every level.
Do you guys realize how silly your phony argument is?
The problem in America is that marriage is losing it’s definition and that it will become whatever any consenting adults, or church, or Mosque, or cult, or gay church, or atheist church wants to call it.
So what do you guys propose? Starting a movement to end legal marriage in America and letting it become whatever any consenting adults, or church, or Mosque, or cult, or gay church, or atheist church wants to call it.
Not only does that not work in real life, with divorce and military service and so on, but it is a bizarre fantasy that can’t happen, yet you want to replace conservative political action to save marriage with that pretend fantasy that would be truly impossible to make into law?
We can’t win the votes to stop gay marriage, but you think that we can win the votes to remove the government from marriage? Are you kidding?
Yes, we are losing these battles, but I don't lose heart, because as a Bible believer and a believer in Bible prophecy, I know that we-I should say God-wins the war. Darkness and apostasy are descending upon this world, in preparation for the man of evil, the anti-christ. I'm grateful to my Savior that I won't be here to see how just how evil man can be, considering how evil man has already become before the removal of the Restrainer. The sodomites et al never cared about being married per se, as in celebrating the sacrament of commitment before God and man. Partly it was the financial benefits, I think, but mostly they are the witting or unwitting tools of Satan to undermine the God-ordained family, and the shred the fabric of Godly societies, even if individuals within those societies weren't necessarily Christian, or religious, or even moral.
I asked you to quit spamming me with PMs, if you have an opinion, then post it here.
You bring up a good point point, we have to fight to preserve marriage, not quit fighting and drop out, as some here suggest.
America will always have legal marriage, and as long as gay marriage or polygamy is legal, then it will be part of the culture and textbooks, and the air that our children breathe in and raise future generations in.
if you have an opinion, then post it here.
If you could comprehend, you would know that was my last note on the subject.
Sorry to bore you but I saw no reason to continue a private discussion on the public note.
It isn’t a private discussion, just quit pestering me with freepmail if you are finished with participating in the forum discussion.
I never understood the appeal of of liberal churches like the Episcopagan one to anybody. Conservative Bible-believing Christians don’t like them. Meanwhile why would liberal, hedonistic pagans feel the need to get up on Sunday mornings and support an organization with their money and time that tells them what they already get 24/7 from the gov’t/media complex for free anyway?
This fight began at least as far back as the beginning of the 20th century, with the split between evangelicals and militant fundamentalists, between those who still believed in the inerrancy of Scripture and those who were questioning the Virgin Birth, the Resurrection, etc.
