U.S. President Barack Obama said on Thursday he hoped the Supreme Court would issue a ruling that would prevent states from banning gay marriage when it rules on the issue later this year.

"I'm hopeful the Supreme Court comes to the right decision," Obama said during an interview on YouTube.

Noting that the states have never amended the Constitution to expressly protect gay marriage, please consider the following. I suspect that the Supreme Court case that tests state power to ban gay marriage will be a staged, Alinksy-type deception where so-called pro-traditional marriage state attornys will defend traditional marriage with weak arguments instead of arguing 10th Amendment-protected protected state powers versus constitutionally unprotected gay marriage. This will give pro-gay activist justices the opportunity to wrongly “amend” PC gay rights to the Constitution from the bench.

And speaking of constitutionally unprotected gay marriage, also consider this. If lawless Obama really wants to protect gay marriage then he needs to do the following. He needs to encourage Congress to propose a gay rights amendment to the Constitution to the states. And if the states choose to ratify Obama’s amendment then Congress will be able to legislatively protect gay marriage from the states though the 14th Amendment, instead of activist justices stealing state legislative powers from the bench to do so, and Obama will be a hero.
