Ok, the fact is, as a quarterback, the way you complete passes is by maintaining consistency. Any variable you have to address means you have to adjust your throw...wind, barometric pressure, wet/dry, defensive pressure, etc.
You throw in adjusting the pressure of the ball and things get even more varied.
A qb DOES NOT QANT TO DEAL WITH ANOTHER VARIABLE,
To add flame to the fire, I seem to remember a few years ago that some team was using underinflated balls, supplied by the other team, and that meant the qb, being used to throwing a ball at one pressure, now throwing a lower pressured ball, was consistently overthrowing the pass and they concluded that the team did it on purpose, becase the defense qas constantly playing deeper than expected, and picked off several interceptions.
