Medical examiner rules Apple Valley deaths were murders-suicide

David Crowley, an independent filmmaker and screenwriter, shot his wife, Komel, and their 5-year-old daughter Rani in the head before shooting himself, according to a report from the Hennepin County medical examiner’s office released Wednesday.

Yet Jason Allen, a producer based in Los Angeles, also said Wednesday that Crowley’s words and actions when the two met in September and in an e-mail Crowley sent him on Dec. 17, seem contradictory to a man who was about to kill his family and himself.

A news release from the Apple Valley Police Department also contained the official identifications and said the investigation is continuing.

Crowley had written a screenplay and produced a trailer for a movie called “Gray State,” about government conspiracy and militarization. He wrote to Allen that he was working 18-hour days to build his concept “into an empire.”

It is a movie about what would happen if there was a mass martial-law/FEMA-camp sort of scenario that the aggressively paranoid people in the 1990's were constantly in fear of.

Now, in 2015, it looks a lot less aggressively-paranoid to wonder if that is where we are heading, and soon....

So isn't it so VERY strange, than a young man who is intent on completing this movie, decides to SHOOT HIS FIVE YEAR OLD GIRL AND WIFE IN THE HEAD, and then kill himself too?

Not even if I was utterly insane could I bring myself to shoot that darling little girl.... and I am not even her father.

From the article: Mason Hendricks, one of David Crowley’s best friends, said earlier in the week that his friend left a two-sentence note that doesn’t explain anything. Hendricks wouldn’t say what the note contained.

The police have stated that this looks "suspicious" (per the article) even as the ME declares this a suicide/homicide.

I agree, this does look "suspicious".

I just wish we would stop emulating the former Soviet Union in ABSOLUTELY every way.

He had been working on this film a long time. Problem was finances.

BUT THEN, he recently got funding from CROWD-SOURCING ( something like 30,000) AND an undisclosed donor recently offered him Millions to help him complete it and get it in play.

People who are offered massive funding for a project don’t kill their family and themselves, that I’ve ever heard of.

Their deaths weren’t just to stop him, they were to warn the undisclosed donor not to contribute to any projects like this, EVER.

There was likely more going on behind the scenes in their relationship. Im going to guess that he was very busy, she started cheating and was about to leave and take his kid and half his assets. He responded by killing her and the child was killed out of “Mercy”.

That is a hell of a lot more likely than some shadwy Gov agency killing him over a movie nobody has heard of.

It was during our conversation that I chided him a bit about the dangers of his undertaking, that it might not be a popular move to appear on our radio show in the run-up to the 2012 elections. He chuckled and said that he was glad to have any opportunity, no matter how big or small, to expose the machinations of the corrupt and the complicit who were destroying the country in which his daughter would grow up.

It was during the latter part of our conversation that he made the statement that is most unsettling and troubling to me. It was six months after the death of Andrew Breitbart and five months before the “accident” that claimed the life of Michael Hastings. He ominously confided that he had no intentions of committing suicide or otherwise becoming a statistic as he had so much to live for. “I’m not prone to suicide,” he told me.

And Andrew Brietbart just happened to have a heart attack on the eve of a big revelation (that never did materialize after that).

And Michael Hastings, the journalist who had the goods on Benghazi, just happened to crash into a tree, right after he called someone in a panic talking about government-types being after him... and weeks later, there's a report about how cars can be hacked to go out of control.

According to ‘Gray State’ writer/director David Crowley’s good friend, Jordan Page, “The film was about to start production with a $30 million budget from a major Hollywood studio” and was “poised to wake up millions.”
