What people forget is those on the Left don't have to suffer from the exact same pathology. I, as a Californian with a long history of close contact with leftwing nutbags, see them as divided in two major categories:
1) the wolves. These are the elitists, the hard-core communists who think 50 million deaths for utopia is acceptable, the perverts and deviants who want unfettered access to fresh meat (your children), and all the other assorted categories of evil bastards who desire to control, use, and hurt other people.
2) the sheep. These are the otherwise well-meaning people who are too stupid, gullible or weak to withstand the wolves' relentless propaganda and pressure. They want to be good people but are too weak to do so on their own (it takes balls to be good, like standing up to bully). So, when some wolf propagandist tells the sheep that they'll be good people, so much better than those bad conservatives, if they'll just support the goodness of homo marriage so that people can "love" or support women's "freedom" from oppression by supporting their holy right to kill their babies, the sheep jump on it. "I can be a good person AND still be a gutless sissy, yay!"
Unfortunately, human nature favors evil. Human vanity means that a good number of people will side with whatever doctrine gives them validation, even if that doctrine is one of destruction and death. What the leftwing sheep can't comprehend is that the people they are supporting, the very ones giving them their validation, are some truly bad people doing bad things. The sheep see the wolves as fellow sheep because, hey, I'm a good person so the people I vote for must be good too.

The first step toward an in-depth understanding of adult behavior is to comprehend its origins in childhood sin.There. Fixed it.

Think of a person like this who suddenly realizes that they are wrong. What happens to them? How do they reconcile themselves to the world? They become bitter and angry. They have to maintain the facade of being a Liberal for that’s the role they know how to play.

Bad mommies contribute much to the creation of sociopaths and serial killers much more so than bad fathers...

This does not explain siblings who were raised in similar environments but have differing political viewz.

Bad mommies contribute much to the creation of sociopaths and serial killers much more so than bad fathers... Precisely.
I believe it's because bad mommies and bad daddies are typically "Bad" in different ways, which causes different results in the children. Especially in girl-children.

“We need a paper written that is the conservative answer to the putrid lib screed conservatism as motivated social cognition or something like that. Written at least a decade ago by Jost, et. al. if memory serves.”
Conservatism is the distilled wisdom of civilization.
