The Obama administration, after days of mounting tension, signaled on Wednesday how angry it is with Israel that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accepted Republican leaders’ invitation to address Congress on Iran without consulting the White House. The outrage the episode has incited within President Obama’s inner circle became clear in unusually sharp criticism by a senior administration official who said that the Israeli ambassador, Ron Dermer, who helped orchestrate the invitation, had repeatedly placed Mr. Netanyahu’s political fortunes above the relationship between Israel and the United States.

To Boehner's credit, he outmaneuvered Obama and company. IOW, he did the same thing to them that they were doing to the Repubs in congress. THAT is what they are sore about. The Repubs need to keep doing this kind of thing to frustrate the Admin. Oh, wait, the stupid party...right.
The Prime Minister will now have a bully pulpit of sorts. Of course, the MSM will do their best to blackout this event like it never happened.
I think Boehner should invite Putin too, and not tell Bambi anything about it. That would really put the drama queen in a tizzy.
These statements are not for US consumption. They are part of a marketing strategy directed at the Israeli voters, to try to convince them to vote against Likud because Netanyahu is jeopardizing the US-Israeli relationship.
Oddly, and sadly, these attacks seem to be gaining traction against Netanyahu according to recent Israeli polls.
Tell Bibi to cancel the official visit and just come in through the Mexican border, everything will be peachy and he’ll get benefits too!
