Names aren’t all they are changing. They also keep upping the bills all the time in small increments so we can pay for their ads for 9.95 internet for slackers.
I had an ugly run in with Comcast this week.
The smart azz worker told me that they have to pay bills too.

I’d like to see them prosecuted for consumer fraud. They have a bad habit of presenting fraudulent billing claims, such as charging for cable modems already owned and paid for by the subscriber, refusing to terminate service when the customer requests and then charging an additional month or months, and more.

After I cancelled my Comcrap service, I’ve had two people come to my door trying to sign me back up. One was so persistent that I was very close to “leave my property or I’m calling the cops”.

Who do we call to make major complaints to spark a prosecution of them?

People apparently don’t know how to deal with comcast. I manage to keep my cost at near basic levels for internet and TV just short of the movie channels.

I call angry and end up telling the person on the phone that I’m not angry at them personally but I’m going to be forced to shut off the TV service. Then I can usually back them down on the cost for another 3 months.

Comcast sucks. It really sucks. It makes Soviet retail look customer friendly.

I used to be a preferred Comcast customer - the kind that pays for everything. Once I started cutting back, problems started - slow internet, spotty reception, etc. Finally, I dropped TV altogether. The, the real problems started. My internet became unstable. I had to reboot my router and modem 2-4 times a day.

Service calls in November and December ($40 each) failed to solve the problem. Then last week, my internet quit. The customer service rep in New Delhi was unable to resolve the problem. Another service call, arrived TWO DAYS after scheduled date without notice. They threw a new wire across my roof, but the problem persists, but a reduced rate.

And you ask me why I’m switching to Verizon? Don’t expect miracles, but has to be better.

I had a deal with them and noticed they were overcharging me too. I confronted them and they said they couldn’t refund me because I took too long to notify them that they were billing me for something I didn’t have (my wife pays the bills and didn’t notice it for a few months). I told hem that our state has a seven year statute of limitations on robbery and I’m calling the DA. I received my refund in full plus a free upgrade.

Sounds like some former AOL employees got jobs at Comcast

Said I would use the money saved from not subscribing to cable television to buy classic DVD movies and add several hundred music CDs from the 1950’s to the 1980’s. Great collection now, but haven’t bought any DVD movies for a few years now. The Walmart bins seemed to have dried up when it comes to the great classics we don’t already have.
