Full Title: New report suggests that the footballs used by the Patriots in 'Deflategate' were not nearly as bad as initially reported
A new light has been cast on the use of illegal footballs by the New England Patriots during the AFC Championship game and if true, suddenly Deflategate does not sounds nearly as egregious.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, 11 of the 12 balls used by the Patriots were under the allowed limit of 12.5 Pounds per Square Inch (PSI) of pressure. However, most of the balls were not nearly as deflated as many originally believed.
"As far as the 11 footballs that I am told were below the 12.5 PSI, one was about two pounds under," Rapoport said on NFL Network. "Several were about a pound under, and several more were just a tick below 12.5 PSI."

I suppose it is impossible to ask that people seeing the game today will attribute bad calls to just bad calls (or, as in the case of the Dez catch, accurate reading of the rules).
Every single call will be “proof” the refs were prepaid to help (name of team you are not rooting for).
The NFL.com gameday Discuss tab is always full of that.
They were still yelling about the signal “stealing” that was perfectly legal until just before that event occurred so ALL the teams were doing it.
The balls could have been OVER-inflated by 5 pounds and the Patriots would have killed the Colts.

I hope New England looses so when I go to work tomorrow in Mass there will be dead silence and I can get some work done, otherwise all I’ll hear all day are the rubes screaming “We Won!”.

Although I grew up hating the Packers (as a Bears fan), I am still in shock they lost. I have become a fan over the past 10 years as I am losing interest in the incompetent McCaskey family.

I guess both Charlie and Mohammed,

And a fancy hotel is blown up in Libya,
and a new civil war breaks out in Egypt,
and even the willfully blind,
have to admit that the problems are no longer small-
so there’s an announcement from the United Nations,
of an emergency meeting of the Security Council-
Syria, Ukraine and missing planes,
and waiting by the red phone for that terrible call...
And the Secretary General,
has scheduled a press conference at noon,
to release his own Bread and Circuses statement,
about the Patriots’ under-inflated balls.

Much ado about nothing!!! The media spins again!!! What low life they all are!!!
Glad to know we've now got some precise facts to work with....

And don’t forget the VP of officiating Friday saying there was no record of their measurements before the game. So it’s looking like the refs just missed it. But of course the yellers won’t care, they want to yell.
