The Thunderbirds or a jet team from Luke AFB just flew by... I’m in Peoria, AZ, 2 miles north of the stadium. We have an outdoor TV, and in anticipation of a flyover went outside. Sure enough... the jet team flew by and headed to the stadium. The broadcast failed to show the fly by. MAJOR FAIL!!! I was on an elite (not bragging) parachute demonstration team and the goal is to land in a stadium with the American flag attached to our parachute suspension lines at the exact moment the Star Bangle Banner ends. The jet teams shoot for the same precision timing. A great big boo to the horseshit media. THEY couldn’t predict this?
Any time God Bless America is performed, it should include the introductory verse. As powerful today as when first written, and adds much more meaning to the song:
As the storm clouds gather far across the sea
Let us swear allegiance to a land that’s free
Let us all be grateful for a land so fair
As we raise our voices in a solemn prayer
