Boy, you’d hardly know it today. “You can always tell a Harvard man. But you can’t tell him much’’.

Needs to be smart and capable, which is hinted at by a degree but proven by being a successful state governor. It also helps to be well spoken, which he seems to be.

I don't think Truman even had a middle name. I think I remember from somewhere that he only had a middle initial: "S".

I can remember people referring to him as, Hairy Ass Truman.

One of the wisest, most well read, articulate, intelligent, and God fearing people I’ve ever known, was born into a poor North Carolina farm family in 1898. He attended a one room school house where a single teacher taught 12 grades of students. At 16 he left school and lived in the attic over a general store. Eventually he saved enough to start his own store, in what was then a nearby town, becoming a highly respected member of the business community.

Throughout his life he read voraciously allowing him to speak with knowledge and insight about almost any topic. He was active in his local church and proudly lived a virtuous, Christian life daily. His word was his bond and he conducted most of his business and personal life with a handshake. He treated all people with dignity and respect and envied no one. He loved his country and his family and while he never engaged in politics he would have been a great governor or president.

You remember from somewhere? It’s been a known fact since the 40s.

Hello old friend, do you remember some referred to him as Hairy Ass Truman?

I was 12 years old when he left office. He was not particularly liked in my household, although my parents were "Roosevelt democrats". I think it might have had something to do with the firing of McArthur.

If Jefferson Davis would not have ordered Confederate forces to fire on United States Property (Fort Sumter), there may not have been a war at all. The blood shed rests in the hands of Jefferson Davis, not Abraham Lincoln.

And like Slick Willy, Myth Romney also evaded the draft.

I'm sure you are as aware of this as anybody but in the history of the Romney family, no member has ever served in the U.S. military. Probably had ancestors that served in the army of Joseph Smith though. (Had to kill all those gentile settlers, ya know)

We have a winner - but no one with enough fortitude to carry it out so we sink.

The current POTUS has an AffAct degree roughly equivalent to a CrackerJack prize.

Once a college degree was about knowledge and was a positive. Now it’s about indoctrination and it’s a negative. Give me somebody who has run a business, especially one he started over somebody who got a degree and graduated with inflated grades.

It is not required by the law. Obviously a birth certificate is no longer important even though proof of American birth is.

US Supreme Court justices do not need to be lawyers. However, Solicitors General are required to be “learned in the law.”

America was built, in large part, by people with out a “college” degree. However, in 1900, a person with an eighth grade diploma was better educated than most college graduates today.

“Historians have resoundingly rejected Wilson’s point; Lincoln is widely considered the greatest American president. His predecessor, James Buchanan, had a college degree (rather rare in those days), but is considered one of the worst.”

Any obvious correlation here?

(you always have so many good threads)

“They are developing the narrative early”. Actually, they threw the “kitchen sink” (and all the outside money possible) at him three (3) times in Wisconsin and it didn’t work.

Scott is only a few credits short of a degree.

So a few credits makes a difference? Just political doublespeak.

He has enough experience for a Phd.

Just watch Scott deal with the lefties that are spending your tax dollars.
