Bennett is now and has always been a statist who tries to pass himself off as a conservative.
Bill Bennett is a chain-smoking, gambling-addicted, obese fraud who makes his money telling other people they are living the wrong way.
libertarians on the warpath
Why waste time on Bill Bennett who “thinks” what he is paid to think anyways?
Smoking dope makes you stupid and then you vote democrat (if not already doing so.)
On Hannity last night Tons of fun said he was also for common core.
Right....
Generally speaking, people who support prohibitions tend to be ‘busy bodys’ that want to use the police power of the government to force other people to live a certain way via the law. Usually based on religious beliefs of some sort.
It doesn’t matter to them that someone smoking a dried out plant in their home has no effect on them at all, they just don’t like the idea of it, so it MUST BE PROHIBITED by law!
I remember him defending the war on drugs about 20 years ago. It didn’t wash then either. It may increase drug use if it’s legalized, but my position is reflected in this quote by G.K. Chesterton:
The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking; he can ruin himself with gambling. If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog. Broadcast talk 6-11-35
An undeniable fact. Yet, here we are on a conservative website with the Pot Party screaming for more cultural rot.
Bill Bennett also defends the Federal Common Core educational program.
Common Core is pretty much a retread of the “New Math” and “See and Say” learning theories from the bad old days back deep in the Carter Administration. Maybe not so many radical theories of learning, but the watered-down pap and rewriting of historical fact and critical thinking is even more pervasive.
Insufficient reason to have pot illegal, since voting Democrat is not illegal.
Oh Goody. Once again you’re here to pollute FR with your pro-dope propaganda.
And as always, you will get your chance to retort with your standard 3 question response as you single mindedly troll away for legal drugs.
Oh, and don’t forget to mention the parallels to alcohol, chocolate, tobacco, sodas and staying up late. All (in your doped up mind) are equal to pot, meth, coke and more.
Actually, I just don’t want this country to suck even more. I don’t care so much what people do in their own living room, but I also don’t want to be surrounded by stoned idiots. Does that mean I support the War on Drugs? No. Does that mean I support legalization? Let’s shrink the government and revive some semblance of a decent culture first.
BTW, I'm for gun control for democrats. They're the ones doing violent crimes not conservatives.
Whack that straw man.
The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking; he can ruin himself with gambling. If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.
Outstanding!
If this is what’s going to pass for conservatism in the future, I’m going to find some other place to live. Even if that place has legal drugs and no right to bear, it won’t have knock-out games and Al-Sharptonism (both will exponentially increase when pot is universally legalized).
LOL! The Chicken Little hysterics of Drug Warriors never cease to amuse.
Never understood why there is a handful of libs who think by posting on a conservative website their agenda and then must think conservatives will change their minds.
I suppose they think the world is about them seeing as they think they should do anything they want , when they want, with who they want and where they want regardless of others.
