High-Dollar Kravis Funder for Bush Raises ‘More Than $4 Million’
NY Observer ^ | February 12, 2015 | Ken Kurson

Posted on 02/14/2015 7:15:17 AM PST by C19fan

On Tuesday, the Observer broke the story of a high-dollar fundraiser hosted by Henry and Marie-Josée Kravis where donors could meet Jeb Bush and contribute to Right to Rise, the PAC set up to enable a third Bush presidency. Later that day, Politico revealed that the requested dollar amount would be a staggering $100,000.

The event went off as planned last night and according to one attendee was even better attended than expected. “More than forty contributors showed up, and it wasn’t just KKR people,” said the attendee, who insisted on anonymity because of the perceptions about paying such a high-dollar amount to meet with a potential president.

KKR - the barbarians at the gate! (see filme staring James Garner in the 1990s)...I know - they bought out GMAC Commercial Mortgage, gutted it down, had idiot management running it, and forced out quality Producers and people who KNEW how to sell commercial mortgages.)

THE END OF AUSTERITY

What will they call near universal poverty when Europe cuts Greece off or Greece cuts itself off from Europe? when the government continues its largesse but the money is worth nothing? Will the welfare of the Greek welfare state consist of the bestowing of limitless quantities of printed toilet paper on the masses? Will there be riots because of the inferior quality of the free toilet paper?

Hardly close to the money needed to run for President. They are saying this Presidential election is going to be over a trillion dollars. Bush better start having these every day if he wants to compete. This might be our way of getting rid of him....not being able to raise enough money. To get rid of him, I will take that excuse.

KKR is not the worst LBO group, but it shows the Wall Street
connection the Bush family has had since day one. Yes on amnesty, and yes on Obamacare. The overlords have spoken : )

Money isn’t votes. Bush loses no matter how much he raises

Bush/Clinton-Clinton/Bush

What difference does it make?

Excerpt from wikipedia (more at link)...

“Prescott Sheldon Bush (May 15, 1895 – October 8, 1972) was an American banker and politician. He was a Wall Street executive banker and a United States Senator, representing Connecticut from 1952 until January 1963. He was the father of George H. W. Bush (41st President of the United States) and the grandfather of George W. Bush (43rd President of the United States) and Jeb Bush (43rd Governor of Florida).

...

Bush attended St. George’s School in Newport, Rhode Island, from 1908 to 1913. In 1913, he enrolled at Yale University, where his grandfather, James Smith Bush (class of 1844), and his uncle Robert E. Sheldon Jr (class of 1904) had matriculated. Three subsequent generations of the Bush family have been Yale alumni. Prescott Bush was admitted to the Zeta Psi fraternity and Skull and Bones secret society. George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush are also members of that society.

According to Skull and Bones lore, Prescott Bush was among a group of Bonesmen who dug up and removed the skull of Geronimo from his grave at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, in 1918.[2] According to historian David L. Miller, the Bonesmen probably dug up somebody at Fort Sill, but not Geronimo.[3]

Prescott Bush was a cheerleader,[4] played varsity golf, football and baseball, and was president of the Yale Glee Club.”

I would have figured Henry for a Hillary supporter.

He's funding Jeb to become the de facto nominee, so, in effect he is supporting Clinton.

He likely is a Hillary supporter.

Many leftists will funnel money to Bush. They know the highest probability of the GOP losing is with someone like the Statist Bush as the nominee.

Nobody funding Bush expects him to win. He is just a tool to put amnesty and other stupid ideas into the GOP agenda and platform.
