If this is really a nightmare scenario for our Marines, all military commanders should protest the situation.
How do we know, I mean really know, that Obama isn’t actually arming the Islamists surrounding the base?
An Iraqi tribal leader said Saturday that ISIS militants are gaining ground in Anbar province, predicting a "collapse within hours" of Iraqi army forces there if tribal forces withdraw.
Sheikh Naim al-Gaoud, a Sunni Muslim leader of the Albu Nimr tribe, called for more U.S. intervention -- including ground troops, arming tribes directly or at least pressuring the Iraqi government to give the tribes more firepower.

LOL. Any place where "tribal leadership" has the same status as a functioning government shouldn't even exist as a nation. Give everyone enough military hardware to destroy the place, then put a fence around it and let them figure it out for themselves.

The 400 US Service members are there to train a Division of Iraqis ,so they may have some help

Those choppers are gonna be vulnerable to AA & RPGS. This is what you get when you fail to adequately arm yourself for battle.
Recall the 2 Iraqi wars. Bush I & II built a substantial, very lethal coalition & absolutely stomped the Iraqi military in short order. Our casualties were incredibly low. There was never doubt of victory. Our leaders backed the military totally.
Contrast that with ObamaWar. There is gonna be many body bags & videos of our troops doused in gas & set afire.
Another Benghazi to which we will have endless investigations that result in no answers and no one being held accountable. Just like Seal Team 6. They will be betrayed.

If you remove a president through Article 25 sec. 4, can’t you take out his VP, too, that he chose, if it’s obvious he will continue in the dereliction?

When I first heard about this unfolding I immediately thought this will be Benghazi II. I have no idea of the real parameters of the mission at al-Assad but my guess is that a training mission wouldn’t be very heavily armored and/or air supported. Obola will go missing again or dither about while ISIS turns our base into a shooting gallery. I called my rep but I doubt he can do anything about it.
I pray that our troops knew it was a setup and have planned accordingly.
