Karen Hains of Bettendorf has chosen delayed vaccinations for her children.
Hains’ daughter received her 2-month immunizations on schedule. Right afterward, she said, the baby “had bloody, mucusy stools for a week and could hardly nurse,” Hains said. The little girl also ran a fever of 102 degrees.
“After the 4-months vaccinations, she had (a reaction) again, but a little less severe,” Hains said. “That was enough for me to realize that was definitely because of the shots. It wasn’t until my second child that I decided to do something different.”
With her second child, she waited until after 6 months for the first vaccination. Now Hains’ children are 13, 11, 8 and 5. The youngest is not yet caught up with vaccinations.
“My kids were not in day care,” Hains said. “Children in day care get exposed to a lot more illnesses.”
Because they were at home, she said, “I had the luxury of delaying without requiring an exemption.”
The three oldest attended a licensed preschool and were up to date with their immunizations by the time they each were 4 years old, Hains said.
“For my fourth child, I did preschool at home, so we didn’t have that deadline,” Hains said. She now is homeschooling all four of her children.
“Dr. Sears has a delayed-vaccination schedule that some parents choose to follow,” Hains said, referring to Dr. Robert W. Sears who wrote “The Vaccine Book: Making the Right Decision for Your Child.” Sears suggests an alternative schedule that delays the injections or spaces them farther apart.
You said, “I agree that it’s making a big deal out of what was likely a small number” but we should just go ahead with protecting the babies of the small number of risks/exposed by injecting the millions of newborns with chemicals and toxins?? This makes no sense.
You are correct.
We adopted two kittens a couple of years ago from a shelter. The kittens were 10 weeks old and received their shots and were neutered before they came to us.
The vet was furious that the kittens had their rabies shots before 12 weeks. He said that they’re too little to handle it and kittens have died from this. He was also furious with the shelter for giving them their vaccines on the same day as they were neutered. Too much stress on their little systems for one day. (To adopt them out 12 hours later was even worse)
That is a high standard! The only opinion you recognize is from "intellectuals" like Nobel laureates Al Gore and Hussein Obama.

That’s NEVER made any sense to me - why not do the blood test on the mothers?

When my Mama taught me the stove was hot, I didn’t need to see a scientific study to prove it; When I noticed we have a biased, hypocritical press, I didn’t need a scientific study to prove it.
Common sense is a wonderful thing and I have seen the evidence of vaccine injury so no matter how much you try to ridicule me, it won’t work or change my opinion.
I was probably a pioneer in the “NO more shots” movement 40+ years ago.
You can become all defensive of your belief and call me whatever you choose but I learned from actual experience that shots aren’t for everyone.
My second daughter went into seizures for 5 days following her “baby shots”!!
Both our family physician and the hospital workers where she was admitted lied to us and disavowed that her condition was caused by the shots!
When I took her to the school for kindergarten round-up I met two other moms whose children had had the same horrifying experience following the child’s initial immunizations. They too were poo pooed when questioning the cause of the seizures.
I didn’t get my next daughter any shots, but when my twins were to start school, again I was lied to by school personnel who said that they HAD to have their shots to start school. ( All that was needed was a wavier signed).
Boy twin acquired all three measles from the measles shot!
Of course, the good doctor had never heard of such a thing
First of all, I’ll bet that there isn’t a record one of either of these incidents.
Later, when my last son ran into a garbage dumpster when goofing around with his pals, I did take him for a straight tetanus shot. The doctor inquired as to whether he had other inoculations. When I told him no, he told me that I was a GOOD MOTHER!!!
His nephew, he said, was permanently brain damaged from the DPT shot.
In the past, many vaccines were made with Mercury. You know the stuff that if a thermometer or fluorescent light becomes broken, you have to have a hazmet cleanup?
Then they used aluminum. That and Mercury, studies have shown, have been found to be significantly present in those suffering from,( sorry, I’m not sure now,) either dementia or Alzheimer’s. It seems that they feel the accumulation of these conductive metals in brain tissue may cause short-circuits in the brain. Heck, I’d rather have something that you can get over, like measles, wouldn’t you?
Another point I wish to make is that 60% of the vaccines are now made with aborted fetal tissue, measles included.
Can you imagine a God who says that He knew us before we were born approve of butchering these tiny persons to “ immunize “ others?
Too, as only one twin was adversely affected by the shot doesn’t is seem that we are not all identically made and what negatively hits some may be thrown off by others but do you really want to take that chance?
Lastly, Can you tell me just WHY everything we eat must be labeled as to ingredients (for which I am grateful because I have a wretched soy allergy)and all medicines come with a whole list of whats-in-it and possible side-effects which you should read before taking. BUT when it comes to shots, we are supposed to blindly believe that someone, somewhere has thoroughly checked every single one for both safety and effectiveness and there is no need for us to know what they’re going to be shooting into our tiny newborn’s bodies.
Just trust those who lie us all the time because shots are such a big business they can’t be allowed to fail.

About autism ... I don’t think it’s all attibutable to vaccinations.
Relatives who were “that way” as my grandmother described it, were in our family in Wales in the 1800s. No vaccines, no modern anything.
Maybe there’s combination of factors but I doubt vaccines are the only source.

You made a claim that autism is a “vaccine injury”. Don’t try to change the subject now. You do have the research to back that claim up, don’t you?
Excellent comeback...and so very true. I have to admit that it worked (ridicule) on me last week but I don’t intend to stay here that long today... You’re doing great so keep it up.
You can, but the mother can give you a false negative, especially if it is shortly after she contracted hepatitis. I do agree with this being rediculous, especially since the vaccine manufacturers are not held liable, but doctors and hospitals are. That is an awful standard, but it is the standard in this country.
I don’t believe it is “all attributable” to vaccinations. I do believe the large increase is connected to the increase in vaccinations. There are too many cases of normal child, vaccines given and child began to regress and exhibit autism symptoms.
Autism has increased from 1 in 10,000 children in 1980 to 1 in 68 in 2014. Many parents have given documented examples of vaccine reactions. Failure to properly address this is only adding to the number of children and families who now have autistic children. 1 in 68!! That is an unacceptable number.
Can you imagine the lawsuits if some “product” was implicated in those kind of stats? But, you cannot sue the manufacturer of a vaccine. There is NO accountability and there is a ton of money involved. This is a recipe for corruption.
Holding doctors and hospitals, but not the vaccine manufacturers, liable, never made sense to me. Because that is corrupt.

A point I was trying to make last week on threads like this. Why do we sit through beaucoup TV commercials - lasting long enough to take a nap - of all the GREAT, BAD SIDE EFFECTS that can happen if you take the drug being advertised BUT no one wants to name the bad side effects of vaccines. One freeper took exception to that and said that wasn’t true but didn’t elect to name one....
The main reason I gave up on this subject last week - probably by Tuesday or so - it started on Saturday if IIRC - was the FACT that I couldn’t get through to the PRO VACCINE folks that I didn’t belong to a NEW anti-vaccine movement - I was raised this way beginning in the thirties!! I wasn’t a leftwing nut driving a Prius. There are just some people who will never get it.

You are correct “that some people” will never get it. On the other hand some people need the opportunity to hear the other side and learn why there is an “anti vaccine” movement. After all, the mainstream media are worthless and given that, Kathleen Sebelius is quoted in an interview with Readers Digest stating, “There are groups out there that insist that vaccines are responsible for a variety of problems, despite all scientific evidence to the contrary. We (the office of Secretary of Health and Human Services) have reached out to media outlets to try to get them not to give the views of these people equal weight in their reporting.” A Free Press is not instructed on what to report by Government Officials.
Freepers sometimes must do the job that the media refuses to do. Fortunately the Government hasn’t “reached out” to me lately. Well, that is if I don’t count the pro-vax, anti-personal rights Trolls that always come out to feed. ;)

Speaking of corruption, did you know In August of 2014 a CDC scientist named William Thompson came forward as a “Whistleblower” acknowledging that scientists at the CDC had knowingly hidden the link to autism and vaccinations for MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella.)
Additional information that William Thompson brought to light in recorded conversations with Dr Brian Hooker states that they (CDC Scientists) had changed the parameters of the study to “get rid of the association” between autism and vaccines so they would not have to report it to the public. In the recordings Thompson expresses great shame and remorse for “lying” and for going along with what the “higher-ups” wanted. The evidence released by William Thompson is proof of research misconduct at the highest levels of the CDC putting American Families in jeopardy and sacrificing children in the process.
William Thompson was also recorded stating, “Oh my God, I did not believe that we did what we did, but we did. It’s all there… This is the lowest point in my career, that I went along with that paper. I have great shame now when I meet families of kids with autism, because I have been part of the problem.”

Perhaps this CDC scientist turned Whistleblower knows more about what’s going on at the CDC than the Freepers who say there is no link to autism.
The Sabin Polio vaccine was contaminated with SV40 Simian Virus from Rhesus Monkeys. In 1994, a doctor discovered SV40 in tumors in humans. The measles vaccine was contaminated wit ALV (chicken cancer virus). The vaccine has been mandated to be made from ALV-free eggs. Science is NOT settled. I varied my kids schedule because of: reactions, and if they were sick. Parent/Guardian is more of an EXPERT than some Govt. Hack. Vaccines are NOT PERFECT. They have SIDE EFFECTS and some are not known for YEARS.

Use of the rotavirus vaccine Rotarix in the US has been temporarily suspended because the vaccine was found to be contaminated with porcine circovirus 1 DNA.
This is why believe that SCIENCE SHOULD NEVER BE SETTLED (and really never is). We are learning all the time. “Science is settled” stops research, safety, and ingenuity. Reported Side Effects can push scientists to make a product SAFER.
