Determined to get in some recreation as he wrapped up official business in California, President Barack Obama touched down in Palm Springs Saturday and immediately hit the golf course with friends.
The president arrived at Palm Springs International Airport at 9:48 a.m. — almost two hours earlier than planned — ensuring a morning tee time at Sunnylands, the famed estate in Rancho Mirage where Obama has stayed and golfed during past trips to the desert.
Obama deplaned from Air Force One without his wife and daughters in tow. He jogged down wearing no suit coat or tie, having rolled up the sleeves of his blue button-down shirt.
