Gardasil has only been studied for 8 years. There is NO REASON ethically one can use for THIS Vaccine to be mandatory for school. The Simian Virus contaminated Polio vaccine was in use for YEARS here in the US before that was taken out and only in the 1990’s was the MONKEY VIRUS found in HUMAN TUMORS. That’s 30-40 years after the fact.

I know and that what makes it so dangerous.

The threat of polio was very real sixty years ago and very few questioned the need for a vaccine. HPV is a PREVENTABLE virus (I know that polio is too, but keeping kids from swimming in the middle of summer isn't exactly easy) with a fairly low death rate. What's going to happen if a decade or so from now we have millions of women in their peak childbirth years who are unable to conceive or carry to term?

I agree it should not be MANDATORY. HPV is transmitted through direct contact. Sometimes there are obvious warty like lesions. But there is also a flat ‘condyloma’ that is not obvious. So you cannot tell for sure if someone is infected just by looking. The best thing for kids, and I am a child of the 60’s, is to try abstinence until you are ready to commit. And find someone to love who also values themselves. The ‘swinging 60’s’ attitude has been very destructive to the fabric of American Society. And it seems to only be getting worse.

This is anecdotal but, I knew a woman that got Cervical Cancer. The reason she had to have a hysterectomy and all her lymph nodes in the groin was, THE POSITIVE PATHOLOGY WAS NOT COMMUNICATED TO HER BY THE DOCTOR’S OFFICE and she herself did NOT follow up. The next year, the next PAP and devastation.

Can’t vaccinate against: Dr. Error, LAB Error, etc. Human mistakes. Must take charge of your OWN HEALTH and be informed. What is wrong in some people’s minds of INFORMED CONSENT? And INFORMED does not just mean CDC informed or Vaccine maker informed.

Agree, and this is not even close to being a contender for the “herd immunity” theory. Gotta have that genital contact from whatever orifice. Telling kids it’s okay to run amok with your sexuality has consequences.

Yeah. They're still trying to cover it up. It's all about money.

The above has a comedy element but the facts are still true.

There are those that wish a shot could render a good portion of the population sterile. John Holden, Obama science adviser comes to mind.

With the Sabin vaccine, it may be coming home to roost, and the Govt. denies any link. This was discovered 20 years ago. Doesn’t mean squat to those that have died from cancer which incidentally has tumors with SV40 in them.

The public has a RIGHT to know the risks. That’s a Human Right.

It’s all in that consent form we sign. We sign away our rights from restitution. Just reading the side effects from any drug/shot makes one wonder.

People need to be aware of this and also how critical Gardasil was and is to Merck.

Vioxx was Merck's goldmine for years until they found out it was killing people and pulled it on 2004. In 2007 Merck settled with the victims for nearly $5 billion plus millions more in legal costs, settlements with governments and untold loss of income due to bad publicity (see Merck had known about the problems with Vioxx for a long time, they ignored it until they no longer had a choice).

In short, Merck REQUIRED a "home run" if they were going to survive. What could possibly fill the void left by Vioxx better than an amazing vaccine that would eliminate cancer if it was given to every female in America under a certain age.

Drug companies spend more on advertising and wining and dining doctors to push their drugs than they do on R&D.

That affects the clinical research and regulatory process how, exactly?

But you keep trying to serve FR government Kool Aid.

It's pretty predictable, actually. When I stick to the scientific position, and I can provide scientific references to everything I say, anti-science types typically go into conspiracies, accusing me of being a shill either for the government or big pharma. As if there is something wrong with working at an organization that hires people with particular educational backgrounds.

You know, there is even someone who will make a cute tin foil hat for your cat? You and your pet can both be protected from mind rays!

Instead of injecting this vaccine that clearly doesn’t stop all HPV and has controversial, dangerous ingredients, why not tell your daughters past sexual maturity that they must submit to Pap smears every couple years? If HPV is found it can be cured easily.

What it is that is said about comedy? Has an element of truth?

I and my kids had the standard shots. I weighed the risks of and the risks not.

I did not get my kids the chicken pox shot. I was well aware of the research that said pox is bad for adults. I informed my pediatrician that if they didn’t get the chicken pox by age 12, I would consent to the shot. They naturally got the pox, all four of them, shortly after. The shot (at the time) was only for a time period of five years and then boosters because they had NO IDEA of a lifelong immunity from the shot unlike the “anecdotal” lifelong immunity stories from those of us who got the pox as kids.

Aluminum (from what sources still being studied) in the brain is a suspect cause of dementia and Alzheimer’s. Why load it into your body by a vaccine? Why load mercury? These are neurotoxins. Perhaps it’s not the “pathogens” causing some reactions to vaccines, but the preservatives and unnatural viruses that the human body has no experience with.

Sorry but this isn't about science. It never is. It's about money. It has nothing to do with saving anyone and everything to do with money. Even a government shill like you can't fool anyone that's paying attention.

Now the tin foil ridicule?

It’s not hard to point out examples of R&D monies supplied for garbage research (Obama green companies as an example) by our tax money.

It happens in all walks of life, all professions. The medical profession is not immune.

My kids and I had the shots and the boosters. They got chicken pox. I had it as a kid and got it again when my middle kid had it. Got Shingles too.

I had all the shots I was supposed to as a kid in the 50's. I got whooping cough, measles...you name it I got sick anyway.

I was a “whistleblower”. I had pain inflicted upon me by a particular industry, but I had to stand up. I provided reports, did my research. I won. I did it because: these people were knowingly wrong, didn’t care, and as a caring human being, I COULD NOT allow this to continue to happen to other people/families. It took a toll on me. A very heavy toll. MONEY can be the root of evil and it certainly was in my personal experience of whistleblowing on a BILLION DOLLAR industry.

A few years ago, I worked with a gynecologist who specialized in treating HPV related problems. Sometimes, a LEEP or cone biopsy does not take care of the problem. She explained that it is like a lawn full of dandelions. You pull up the weeds, and more sprout.

When the treatment fails, the recourse is hysterectomy. Even that can fail. When a woman has had her entire cervix and uterus removed, and the HPV is still there, then what?

Oh, and I should mention that the treatments are incredibly painful, even if they do cure the HPV. Given a choice, I would take a vaccine over that. A little shot in the arm with maybe a bit of inflammation is so much preferable to the horrible pain of HPV treatment.

Funny thing. Even with Gardasil, you need to have regular pap smears. It doesn’t stop all the cancer causing HPVs.

Shedding the virus?

Interesting. When my kids got the pox, (one first then the other three ages 2-8 at the same time), neither I nor my husband got the pox again. My child that came down with it first did NOT have it as bad as the other three.

Just in the past decade “settled science” has come out with research on the immune system and OVER reaching with not exposing kids to dirt, germs, dogs, cats....

I just hope my kids have an inherited immunity from smallpox.

Funny how that works. Only stops 4 of the 15 that cause cervical cancer. 40 HPV viruses are obtained from some sexual activity. 150 HPV viruses. IIRC 30% of Cervical cancers are caused by the viruses not in the shot.

Do some of those young people getting the shot, now think that risky behavior is covered and okay to indulge in because they are “protected”? I’m sure there are more than a few.
