I agree with you entirely. It is dismaying to read the comments on this blog that are either /sarcastic, or echo the lament that “we are dooomed!” I understand that folks are enraged and in somewhat of a depressive state about the state of our Union, and that we presently can't do anything about it. But we CAN keep up the spirits of those around us by reminding people that we are Constitutional Americans, as I like to call myself. As Mark Levin said this evening,(and I highly suggest you to to to www.marklevinshow.com and download outstanding program from Thursday) stop being lackadaisical, complacent. Let's stop sounding like we're throwing in the towel. Make your voices heard loud and clear, at the very least, that you are enraged and determined to return this country to the Constitution, that we're going to take our country back from the communists/socialists/marxists/muslim supporters. We don't know how at this point, we don't know when, and it may take some time. One thing that keeps me going is my love for this country and my resolve to do whatever I have to do to win this war with the enemy in our White House. George Washington lost many a battle, until he won the war. And the same can be said of General Dwight D. Eisenhower. He strategized and fought many a battle in WWII, until he, his Generals, the brave fighting men and women who knew what they had to do and did it, the American people with the “can do” spirit and hard work, won the war in 1945. We must elect a Conservative and give our all to making this possible. We've had our cry so to speak, and now we must stand up and get to work. In my opinion the Republican Party is dead to me as a voter. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me a thousand times over, shame on ME. We need a leader,a General, a Conservative President. So let's get to work and make that a reality. May God bless us all, and may God bless America, land that we love.

I too get tired of the pessimistic drum beat. It seems to be in the nature of some folks.

Also, go for the best candidate you can find here. STOP STOP STOP this incessant, crabby, negative attitude. Please.

Wasting your breath - many here seem to like it when America goes belly up - it gives them reason to exhibit their best-developed abilities....whining about how bad it is while doing everything they can to ensure it keeps getting worse.

As for me, I don’t support politicians who have surrendered on life,

The one time I looked up Walker's position, I thought I saw he was prolife - no exception for rape / incest. What do you know that I don't?

What do you mean, "bluffing"? Is this some sort of poker game?

In the first place, he supports immoral, illegal legislation that does not meet the equal protection requirement of the Constitution. These bills grant explicit license to kill babies, all the babies, as long as they are killed on schedule and by some arbitrary set of rules.

Did you see his “pro-life” ad last fall? Chock-full of pro-choice rhetoric.

“Hi, I’m Scott Walker. I’m pro-life. But there’s no doubt in my mind the decision of whether or not to end a pregnancy is an agonizing one. That’s why I support legislation to increase safety and to provide more information for a woman considering her options. The bill leaves the final decision to a woman and her doctor. Now, reasonable people can disagree on this issue. Our priority is to protect the health and safety of all Wisconsin citizens.”

“The decision of whether or not to end a pregnancy”?

“A woman considering her options”?

“The bill leaves the final decision to a woman and her doctor”?

Sorry, that’s disgusting pro-choice horse manure.

Just what is it that is so “agonizing” about a “decision” whether or not to dismember and slaughter your own offspring anyway?

direct quote from Cruz in the NYT:“The amendment that I introduced removed the path to citizenship, but it did not change the underlying work permit from the Gang of Eight,” he said during a recent visit to El Paso. Mr. Cruz also noted that he had not called for deportation or, as Mitt Romney famously advocated, self-deportation."

I would think that if the NYT lied, and created a quote out of whole cloth, Cruz and his people would have addressed it in a very public and legal fashion.

Of course, that's not likely to matter to you.

“He removed the path to citizenship” .. but that amendment did not have any relation to people who were issued a work permit. I’m sure the “work permit” issue will have to be handled separately.

But .. you weren’t citing “Cruz’s direct quote” .. YOU WERE CITING THE ARTICLE FROM THE NEW YORK TIMES. They are two different things.

Good grief .. can you get anymore confused ..?? You would save yourself a lot of problems if you would quote the person .. and not what the NYT happens to say about what the person said. The NYT opinion about anything IS NOT A VALID ARGUMENT.

Ronald Reagan would not recognize the conservative spirit that is lacking in many of you. Nor would Barry Goldwater. They would say, get up and fight and quit whining.

RR was OK with any Republican with whom he could agree 80% on issues...
