Southern Mississippi might as well be Louisiana during Mardi Gras. Same heat/humidity during the Summer (actually pretty humid about 325 days a year) and anything that can grow and fester tends to do it rather well down here. I don't miss upstate NY winters, but the Summers down here can be just as brutal on one.

Yep, Louisiana is hot and humid all summer especially in August (Hurricanes love August and September). Yes the Landrieu dynasty has lived here (we still have the brother in New Orleans - but NOLA is liberal democrat mostly so he stays for a while). We did manage to rid ourselves of the Mary Landrieu plague and I am happy for that. What a true @ss. There was celebration in my house the morning after the elections.

I think her own party knew she was a gonner. We told her twice that we were against obamacare and she was arrogant enough to think she could go against us and still prevail as Senator. She really thought she was that powerful - heck, she even boasted how powerful she was. But, alas, her party ate their own, as usual, the MSM followed suit, and we did our duty and kicked her chubby butt out.
