**SNIP**

The country’s 42nd president was “terrified” to be painted by Shanks, who has done portraits of Princess Diana and Pope John Paul II. But he hid all fears with a relaxed smirk and bold stance. The work now hangs in the National Portrait Gallery.

When Clinton was not in the room, Shanks says he set up a mannequin sporting a blue dress he likened to Lewinsky.

"He's probably the most famous liar of all time,” Shanks told the Philadelphia Daily News.

Not any more, Nelson. The *Bubbamobile was last seen being run over by the Hussein Express.

I've never seen Billy's hands in that position... plus that look on his face is definitely not Clinton.

This is Clinton's usual hands at work---and the look that shoulda been captured on canvas.

Interesting portrayal and very Clintonesque.

It's reminiscent of someone standing at a urinal, which is what Slick Willie's presidency was to American morality and the end of virtue.

Those Calvin window decals were more humorous and blatantly direct, but that portrait conveys a similar message.

“The Clintons hate the portrait,” Shanks said.

Perhaps there is some schadenfreude in that statement.

The article also says there is an unsubstantiated report that the Clintons tried to have the portrait removed from the National Gallery.

It would be nice to have an edit function, where one could correct spelling errors. Oh well maybe someday.
