“It’s God’s law. Marriage was instituted for man and woman for procreation,” she said Monday morning.

God bless this woman for pushing back. The probate judge in the county in Alabama where I live rolled over like... you know.

I really don’t want a government employee deciding what they will allow. I don’t want some clerk denying me a CC permit because they don’t like guns.

With all due respect, that is not a legitimate basis for her to act as a public official. I wholeheartedly agree with her bottom line position--not issuing the licenses--but not with her reasoning. She should refuse to issue licenses because same-sex marriage violates the Nebraska Constitution that she is sworn to uphold. But, as a public official, taking action based on her own personal beliefs as to what is "God's law" is inappropriate.
