Boehner Caves on Amnesty
Foxnews ^ | March 3rd, 2015 | Richard Manning

“We were never going to win in Congress.”

That is the epitaph spoken by Speaker Boehner ally Representative Tom Cole on the collapse of House Leadership’s resolve to legislatively fight Executive Amnesty.

It may also be the final nail in the coffin for the notion of co-equal branches of government, as President Obama has already announced that he is considering using unilateral executive actions to ban ammunition and raise corporate taxes, on top of his massive Internet regulation announced last week.

If the GOP in the House do not dump this pathetic loser as Speaker I am going to change my registration to Independent. I am sooooooo sick of what the GOP has become.

“The Congressional GOPe will never be in a stronger position than they are today. There is no way anyone will want them in 2016.”

That’s a fact.

” I have a feeling that future history books will record today as the GOP’s “Waterloo.” “

An apt comparison.

” Four months ago the Republicans were given a very clear mandate by the American people, the public’s overwhelming rejection of Obama’s policies could not have been clearer. Today the GOP decided to preemptively surrender and give Obama everything he’s asked for.”

I suppose I was one of the few who wasn’t happy about November, because Boehner & McConnell were complicit in helping remove conservatives from the GOP power structure This was the end of the “opposition” party. By this, I mean opposition to left wing Democrats. Everything they have done since November was predictable.

Jim Rob, and a number of other FReepers are right to take the fight to individual states, and hopefully form a coalition among many states.

Certainly we can find a dead pigeon or some dog excrement to take the place of Boehner.

Either would do a better job of defending us against foreign invaders!!!

We’re not, and never have been, a democracy. Your representatives in our republic just sided again with the lawless administration. Despite anyone’s protests, this is the government this country wanted-including all the “elect the RINOS and worry about your principles after we win.”

Congress has not been disbanded or even constrained. They are just the same traitorous bastards the GOP was rooting for in November.

I will admit to having hope that having the majority in both houses would change things. I will also admit being completely wrong.
I don’t know the answer, I just know the republican party isn’t it. I won’t quit the party, as we’re kicking but locally, but presidential candidates not named Walker or Cruz will get Nada. Or less.

Just read some editorials from the fall of 1864 - before Lincoln’s re-election. The Republicans were ready to hang everyone in the South, quite literally

Why do you say “Boehner caves”, as if Boehner was ever opposed to amnesty to begin with?

*****

On Boehner's tombstone:"Boehner caves." What a coward.

!0+ million illegal aliens with new-found legal rights running free in America as if they own the place will do more to permanently destroy America's identity as we know it than ISIS terrorists running crazy across the country this coming year because parts of Homeland Security are temporarily closed down. Sad. Very sad. Boehner, you coward.

"Congress has not been disbanded or even constrained. They are just the same traitorous bastards the GOP was rooting for in November."

Yes, and in addition, the GOP has been compromised beyond redemption. It is a facade of an opposition totally penetrated by agents who are working to advance Obama's agenda. Conservatives will not be able to make a stand in such a circumstance where the nominal Republican leadership will simply join arms with the Democrats against those who would constrain government and the growing Obama dictatorship. We are moving to a situation where the US Congress is like the legislature in Venezuela whose job is to ratify whatever Maduro has decreed or simply stand aside.

Perhaps its time to form a 3rd party within the ranks of the Republican party we no longer control and encorage our congressmen & State leaders to join it WITHOUT either Traitor known as John.

John Boehner is no longer our speaker or majority leader. He can concus with the Democrats because that is whom he votes with anyway. he is a pitifully excuse for a leader, who gets his ass kicked on every issue every day. He picked this one and only fight after funding the rest of the Government only to surrender on it like he surrenders in every other fight with democrats, no matter how small their minority. The man is an incompetent coward.

Let us shut down the monster less he do us all more damage while being led around on a stick by Obama.
