The Uniparty needs to be obliterated. Similar to de-nazification.
The real difficulty one has when one assumes that people who differ politically are victims of some sort of mental pathology is that the method doesn't travel well - turned backward upon the practitioner, it's equally applicable and quite a bit more revealing. "You only think that way because you're a (fill in the blank)" has a problem when it is applied in concrete terms: "You only think 1+1=2 because you're a privileged member of the white patriarchy" or "You only think the sky is blue because it fits your class interests" - these are really profoundly silly and without the tincture of academic Newspeak would subject their earnest propounder to a well-deserved belly laugh. As it is, only other victims of that - may I say it? - mental pathology nod their heads in agreement and continue to draw their professorial salaries. The rest of us do enjoy a good laugh at their expense.
IT NEVER HAPPENED. CHRISTIANS DID IT TOO. IT’S OLD NEWS.
Oops, caps lock on.
The researcher talks like he has several higher degrees in silliness, doesn’t he? Proving yet again that there’s no fool like an educated fool.
NO fooling!
Paul Rosenberg and the Dems are retarded. Take that Salon.
Adorno devised a psychological test and an F scale (F for Fascist). The higher your F score on the test, the more authoritarian you were.
Many of the questions in the test asked about economic and political matters. The more you answered from a free-market and small-government, freedom-oriented standpoint, the higher your F score, and the more authoritarian you were.
Others conducted surveys in which they obtained the respondent's F score, then asked questions about the respondent's political and economic views. Surprise, surprise! The more conservative you were (as Americans understand that term), the higher your F score, and the more authoritarian you were. Circular reasoning, but remember, we're dealing with liberal psychologists.
Way back in the 1950s there was a story in Astounding Science Fiction which portrayed a war between the "good guys" (mostly US) and some unidentified bad guys from the East. The good guys were receiving lots of refugees, testing them and determining where they might fit into the government the good guys were setting up in liberated territory. The bad guys had slipped one of their spies among the refugees. He flunked the test and was summarily shot.
At the time I read the story I hadn't yet read Adorno's book. It was only later that I read the book and recognized what was behind the Astounding story.
Best I can say is, don't pay any attention to these guys. They don't even understand that Nazis were socialists. They consider Nazis to be some kind of "right wing" authoritarians, hence their equation of Republicans with Nazis.
How long will the censorship continue?
Hence the contempt is felt among this political elite because these groups to whom they've lied don't know that these would-be power freaks have no intention of ever truly empowering anyone but themselves.
Conservatives understand and celebrate human freedom and enterprise.
Liberals fear that they cant acquire power without controlling populations and wealth.
