But Slate magazine claims that pointing these things out is “a new low.” As if highlighting the fact that background checks have been impotent to stop criminals is something that can’t be mentioned right now because Giffords is pushing background checks as a way to stop criminals.

Face palm. Well, it is slate so them calling fact stating a "new low" fits pretty well with their philosophy. Obviously a new law would have............done nothing.

It was well established long ago that anything that indicates the American Left is in error in any way is “not fair.”

Another clear indication of the overgrown spoiled children they are.

Liberalism is a mental illness. It just can’t be said enough.

So, loughner was a stalker, and from the Myspace and Youtube links where he was connected to Gabby it looks like he was infatuated with her, or maybe in love with her I don’t know. But he did kill a Republican judge.

Unfortunately, this jibes with the Left counter-argument that a “good-guy with a gun” is just a criminal that hasn’t committed a crime yet.

Of course, this is a stupid argument, because it is the same definition as for a law-abiding citizen; someone who hasn’t committed a crime.

Fortunately for the Libs, like Alice’s White Queen, they’re allowed to hold multiple, mutually exclusive arguments at the same time.

Background checks reduce crime, and don’t burden law abiding citizens, who could turn to crime at any time, so it’s better to just ban guns.

Facts are poisonous to a propaganda mouthpiece.
