Former SEALs chaplain could be kicked out of Navy for Christian beliefs
TODD'S AMERICAN DISPATCH ^ | 3-9-2015 | Todd Starnes

Posted on 03/09/2015 12:28:52 PM PDT by ImNotLying

A chaplain who once ministered to Navy SEALs could be thrown out of the military after he was accused of failing “to show tolerance and respect” in private counseling sessions in regards to issues pertaining to faith, marriage and sexuality, specifically homosexuality and pre-marital sex, according to documents obtained exclusively by Fox News.

Your latest post is a complete non sequitur - the only relevance to this discussion is entirely in your imagination.

AGAIN - you have failed to answer the most basic of questions about truth and fact, which convinces me you are basically unacquainted with either.

What is your proof of Darwin’s existence? I’m making it easy on you, I don’t ask for proof of Darwin’s theory of evolution, because I know that is an impossible task; I’m only asking you to prove that Darwin himself existed. You have failed miserably in a fairly simple request.

You wrote ... KEEP YOUR BELIEFS IN CHURCH!!!

From Proverbs, we have ...

"Those who are wise store up knowledge, but the mouth of a stubborn fool invites ruin."

OK, you are definitely whacko.

Your first post on this thread was:
“Beliefs belong in church ... enough said.”

Evidently, this foolish position of yours is only applied to others, not yourself, because when I made it clear that you are touting your beliefs on this forum, and therefor should keep them only in church - as you stated, you respond with another off-beam, whacko post.

You proclaim yourself to be a follower of fact and truth - yet you are unable to maintain a rational, lucid argument.

Interesting quote from Proverbs...has ruin accepted your invitation yet?

This might help you in your “belief vs fact” misunderstanding:

It's my guess that you've ignored Darwin's original work and prefer to ignore the modern update by Steve Jones.

You also seem to have missed the Proverb's message about "stubborn" fools.

Well, your guess would be wrong...like everything else you’ve posted on this thread.

I am waiting for you to give me your reasons, or proof, that Darwin even existed. You keep ignoring that simple question. C’mon hotshot! You are the one making the distinction between belief and fact - give us some proof.

How is it that you try to color me a “stubborn fool” when you have stubbornly and foolishly avoided my simple question: What is your proof that Darwin existed?

I suspect you don’t answer because your belief that Darwin existed is unexamined. You have never considered the question of why you believe such a man ever lived, but uncritically took someone else’s word for it. Silly man!

And no - I didn’t miss the message in Proverbs (if you would read), that’s why I specifically mentioned it...and asked if your invitation had been accepted (HINT - read what that passage says your lips invite).

Since you like to toss around Bible passages about fools, how about this one: Psalm 14:1 “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God’”

I am waiting for you to give me your reasons, or proof, that Darwin even existed.

I just checked on Charles Darwin's existence in Volume 7 of the Encyclopedia Britannica and found that Darwin's existence story takes up 56.8 inches.

I then went to Volume 5 of the Encyclopedia Britannica and found that Jesus Christ's existence story is ... 0.5 inches long.

Go figure!

Just checked on “Jesus” in the Britannica and found that the Jesus Christ story is extensive (including pictures) ... 13+ pages.

So THIS is your “proof” that Darwin actually existed? Words in one book? Why do you believe that book? Or do you BELIEVE that inches of copy in this book establishes fact, the more inches, the more factual?

You, who touted yourself as holding fact over belief are showing us all, very clearly, that your vaunted “facts” are nothing more or less than unexamined beliefs.

You should never get into a discussion about facts vs. beliefs again.

You are essentially telling your faithful that beliefs do not belong in church.

You are about the thickest brick...beliefs belong ANYWHERE!

But what I have been telling you (I have only one faithful) is what you brag about as your facts, are actually your beliefs. Unlike many Christians I know, your beliefs are casually acquired, rarely examined, and impossible for you to discuss intelligently.

It is rather humorous to watch you try to sound intelligent as you squirm about, desperately attempting to cash the check your mouth wrote.

Please look up the word "fact" in your dictionary, and ... don't ask me for penance

You have taken my words out of context in order to twist the clear meaning. It is a tactic of a supremely dishonest person.

I have obviously put you in a logical corner you are unable to squirm out of. I posed the simplest question I could manage from your tangential response to my even simpler request that you give me an example of a fact. You obviously have no idea what distinguishes fact from fiction - which means you assume facts uncritically - without thought or examination. It is your OPINION they are facts, and they may well be, but you have never taken the time to truly determine if they are or not.

You have very little acquaintance with logic, and you are unable to sustain a coherent line of thought or argument. You continue to babble about dictionaries and “fact” - but the argument is not about definitions, it is about methods; and you don’t even understand that. Just curious...is man made global warming a fact? You seem to be the very kind of person who BELIEVES it is.

Regarding your attempt to be cute with the word “penance”...would you explain exactly how I would go about “...ask(ing) (you) for penance”?

One doesn’t ask for penance - because one cannot give penance to another. Here is the definition of penance:
“voluntary self-punishment inflicted as an outward expression of repentance for having done wrong”

One DOES penance, they cannot ask for it.

"Why?"

My military and aerospace career led me to fully realize that beliefs belong in church.

One for instance is that the "Thou shalt not kill" belief has no place on the battlefield.

In addition, use of the word belief has no place in military contract proposals. That's where I ran into the editor saying: "beliefs belong in church."

PS ... did you ever hear about Navy Chaplin Otto Sporrer being awarded a Silver Star.?
