Honestly, I think Cruz may be running for the future, for another cycle, or for hoping to share the 2016 ticket as VP, depending on how things shake out with a nominee. The future nominee may need a proven conservative with real intellect to pull in the South.

Taking into consideration all of Ted's actions and words, how you come to a conclusion that he is not running for this cycle is beyond me.

Now, this maybe wishful thinking on your part if you are backing Walker or some other candidate, but reality, if you are looking at his actions objectively, states otherwise.

Rita, sorry to seem cranky or a "Curmudgeon," if you prefer. My point is that Ted's pronunciamentos are red meat to me and other conservatives, but he needs to be making these points with his colleagues who are selling our butts down some grey, greasy green Limpopo ... I don't care if he makes his points privately or on the floor. There is no organized opposition to the régime.

Why did he not oppose Mitch McConnell, when it was obvious that the dithering bastard was and is more interested in protecting his perks with Obama than leading the resistance?

2015 and 2016: As the Republic founders, The "Republicans" control 31 states, and have both Houses of Congress. Yet they act as if they are powerless. Ted's sound bites are welcome. However it's action I want where it makes a difference, that is in the halls of the government bodies WE CONTROL. Where, O where is the Program .... The Plan ... the Leadership needed to return to some semblance of Constitutionality.

We already have enough preachers to the damn conservative choir. Now we need some rough boys to go out and break RINO heads.

AMEN to that! It has proven USELESS to give them a majority in the Senate, but for ridding us of canine Black Eye Harry.

McConnell is killing us there. Worse, he is sabotaging Cruz and the handful of other like minded conservatives, along with their future, while he can also cut Cruz and his type off at the knees from money and with favors and exchanges.

THAT is the singular reason we will probably wind up with a nominee who is a governor, whom the establishment can’t muscle. Governors already have a record of governance and accomplishment, signed, sealed and delivered, and the GOP can not stifle or otherwise stall their performance.

I LOVE CRUZ, but I believe he IS in a box. The senate numbers alone are against him, and the GOP, all preventing him from breaking out with his real ability to impress donors. Even the Koch Bros. are for gay marriage! Sickening.

Call it the Bush machine, or call it corruption, but the results are what they are. The machine doesn’t reach other governors or outsiders to the same extent, but it can squeeze senate and house candidates if they are conservative. And then there is the corruption.....

” Team Obama has so many “Republican” Senators by the short hairs that it is not productive worrying about Democrat Senators.”

I agree.
