Breitbart News previously reported that Kelly went to Tucson, Arizona’s Diamondback Police Supply in February 2013 to show that “background checks are easy.” Kelly brought in a Texas ID instead of an Arizona ID and was denied because the current background check system stipulates that you can only purchase a handgun in the state within which you reside.

So, it turns out you DON'T need to be a genius to be an ass-tronaught. Any form of investigation or charges? Nah. Kinda like your daughters dog killing a baby seal on the beach in Cali while you yell "Let go, no, no. Bad dog". Being a celebronaught has it's perks apparently. Covered under the "my wife was shot and now I'm protected by her saintly cloak." clause.

He should have been prosecuted for attempting an illegal firearm purchase.

If the requirement were that one had to prove one was not a leftist, both would have failed the background check.

Since when did “laws” start applying to members of “The Managerial State”?

This is just an honest question. Has this asshat ever been launched in a vehicle that ever went into ‘space’?

If not, then he’s a wannabe Ass-tronaut.

“A naval aviator, Kelly flew combat missions during the Gulf War. He was selected to become a NASA Space Shuttle pilot in 1996 and flew his first mission in 2001 as pilot of STS-108. He piloted STS-121 in 2006 and commanded STS-124 in 2008 and STS-134 in 2011. STS-134 was his final mission and the final mission of Space Shuttle Endeavour.[2]”

Thank you for the information. He did fly and could be rightfully referred to as “astronaut” then......I still think he’s an asshat moneygrubbing opportunist, though.

I recently learned that Oregon has a law on the books that says you can only buy a long gun in a state that is contiguous to Oregon & bring that gun back home. One of our Republican reps is putting through a bill that would change that to any state. Who would’ve even believed you couldn’t buy a gun in any state & bring it home?!

Both Kelly and his brother are very highly respected Naval Aviators. While obviously his gun control stance is screwed up, especially since he owns guns, don’t attempt to disparage his service and experience doing things in flying machines that very few people can do.

I've read that some States are passing laws that accept CCW from other States. The States are on the move from what I read weekly - they're finally getting fed up with the Fed.

States' Rights! If not workable through the legislating courts, then

STATE NULLIFICATION!
What's the Fedgov going to do? They don't have the man-power to go into every State to enforced their unConstitutional laws/directives/and especially judicial rulings. The Judicial Branch has NO power. Think the Executive Branch will send nationalized National Guard to enforce Judicial decisions? Not hardly in this day.

THE 10th AMENDMENT IS STILL THE LAW OF THE LAND, NO MATTER HOW MUCH THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH USURPS IT. STAND WITH YOUR STATE!

Why hasn’t anyone investigated the mother?

When this happend the FIRST few stories I heard mentioned that the kid was in trouble before and the officers were warned not to file charges because the familiy was politically connected and there would be problems if they did.

WHO MADE THOSE WARNINGS?

The Nevada legislature is working on a change to the current NRS to recognize more out of state CCW’s. Looking good right now.

Then the question arises: How long had Mark Kelly lived in Arizona before without obtaining a valid AZ driver’s license? If Arizona is similar to other states (and I have no reason to believe it is that much different), then you probably have 30 to 60 days after establishing residence in the state in which to obtain a valid Arizona DL. How long was he driving around Arizona with a Texas DL? Probably longer than Arizona state law allows.

Just like John Glenn. He was a distinguished astronaut and an a$$hole as a Senator where he browbeat the government to let him go into space again even though he was long past his sell by date. His ride was just a goverment bribe.
