Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz announced a new PR campaign for the world’s largest coffee shop chain, in which employees are encouraged to serve up chats about race relations to customers.
“We at Starbucks should be willing to talk about these issues in America," Schultz said in a corporate release on Monday announcing the “Race Together” campaign.
Starting on Monday, Starbucks baristas are being asked to write “Race Together” on coffee cups they hand to customers, as an invitation to talk to them about race.

Another reason not to go to Starbucks.
My thoughts on race are about where they should be, but if someone I don’t know starts up a conversation on race, I’m going to nicely explain to them that I find it offensive for them to think they should be perfecting my perceptions.
I want service not conversation.
Now I know why I NEVER buy coffee in this left wing crap hole.

Sounds like this is just a chance for the baristas to spread some “white guilt” around to their clientele.
Problem is, the liberals that go there will think it is a good thing (for “everyone else” to hear).

I go to a lot of Starbucks ... but not too many blacks in any Starbucks I’ve been in.
About a year ago, I stopped at Taco Bell to get lunch- on the one day a month I go shopping with my Social Security money.
The very perky girl behind the counter told me my order total, and then asked if I would like to add $1 “to feed hungry children in Africa”.\
I said absolutely NO.
Then I added “ I would happily pay $1 extra to sterilize the mothers & fathers of those millions of hungry children. They keep having children they have no way to support or take care of.”
The poor girl just stood there & could not respond. The lady just ahead of me who was still picking up her change & purse, turned to me & said-—RIGHT!!!. I haven’t changed my mind one little bit.
SHUTUP AND JUST MAKE THE COFFEE !!!!!!

Is this from the Onion??? You gotta be kidding me. I thought the McDonalds Lovin It campaign was stupid, free meal for doing some action that cashier tells yo to do, but this is ridiculous. I don’t need some lower barista with a useless [Blank] Studies degree lecturing me. Just prepare what I want with a smile.

No thanks. I’ll just go to my local 7 Eleven where I doubt the Sikh who owns it is gonna engage me in a discussion about racial relations.
