He’s not wrong, but we are a long long way from that.
We probably wouldn’t outlaw human driving, but the computers will need a way of proving their innocence when the humans try to blame the computers for their own stupid mistakes.
Long before they need to prove innocence they need to never fail. We have had autopilots in aircraft for over 100 years. Yes really, the first ones were that long ago. But we STILL don’t allow passengers to fly in a plane with no pilot. Because for most things that go well and truly wrong the autopilots only recourse is to disengage and warn the pilot to take over.
