Interesting that his track only changed 1 degree during the entire descent. When descent started, he was only 30 kilometers from Marseille, you would think there would be some sort of turn somewhere in 8 minutes.

Fly by wire is safer than mechanical systems.

Unless someone inserts malicious code, sets off an EMP device, experience a powere failure, or you're flying near CERN while high power tests are being conducted which inadvertanly affect aircraft flight control systems.

Or the known problem where pitot tube failures due to freeze-ups causing the fly-by-wire system to act abnormally. This has been a known issue with Airbus airliners with fly-by-wire systems for a number of years.

It is all speculation now I understand, but does not the debris field appear to indicate mid air explosion? Incapacitated crew/passengers possibly? Seems insidious IMO.

I really think that if they had proof that it was a Jihad, it would never see the light of day. The same German leaders to be trusted are the same leaders who denounce their own people for being islamophobic for worrying about their country being turned into a Muslim nation.
